Taken from THF "speaking to an ex solihull/cov player and he says the nottingham panthers have signed his mate from NA who has AHL experiance, he says the guy is on 21,000 for the season, the players get a 500 quid bonus for beating the steelers and a bonus for winning the league. the guy would be around 35/6 years old"
Could be a load of rubbish but it is amazing how nuggets of information often come from people with a few posts. And would fit into the rumour about us getting an quality AHL centre.

If you have a free afternoon, I'd start by looking at players who played for Solihull and then moved to Coventry ... I don't think there are many. And then find a team-mate of theirs. On the other hand .... get out in the sun as it is probably rubbish anyway !!

I was told the ECHLer was almost a done deal so either something has changed or else they are holding back the announcement for a bit. There is still a spot for a 1st line winger if CN decides to use his forwards like that.

this is one hell of a shot in the dark John88 wheres this top 10 east coaster then ? Well the echl'er i would like to see (david desharnais) is still playing in the echl playoff finals its tied at 2-2 so far so if it is him we could be waiting a while yet.

I said it before, he's NHL destined.

Haha Quality.
I have not seen that post do the rounds for a few years. The numbers are up but it is almost word for word the same post as used to pop up every couple of years either refering to a player you were getting or one for us.
Rubbish if you ask me.
But if you do, good luck to you, the better the players we have over here no matter who they play for, the better the product. As I said though, the wording is almost exactly as I remember it from years ago.

Thats fair enough, tbh i don't think its a realistic target but i was just making the point that if it is an echl'er rather than someone from the ahl or anywhere else for that matter thats who i.d want it to be

Going by recent happening in the Panthers rumour mill I wouldn't believe anything! I saw no mention of Ndur, Jade Galbraith or Toneys from anyone and all we have is 'I'v been told by mr x that...' But still, it winds away those lonely hockey-less nights

But still, it winds away those lonely hockey-less nights Jade Galbraith was mentioned about a month or so before he was announced but that rumour seemed to fizzle out pretty sharpish, as for ndur and toneys your spot on, the idea of an "announcement" is that it is news to everybody of who we have signedand confirms rumours or puts to bed BS.

Well we have signed a center in the form of Richardson who has played alot of matches in the AHL. Then some ECHL and DEL.
So someone got something right with this rumour, age, off by afew years as he's only 31, and i'm betting to land a guy like this he wont come cheap so perhaps that wage isnt far off the mark either.
