ClickSo what is the answer? Player limits or is it good the way it is? What would people rather have, a strong domestic league or a strong international team?

Improve the standard of coaching English Players at junior level, we should have taken a leaf out of the dutch system decades ago, they teach ball skills we teach work rate etc! Have to say though British Players would be higher, there has always been a good amount of Scots, Welsh and Ulster and Irish players in English Football.

Get kids playing on small-sized pitches to improve their technique. and Brit players should have the guts to play abroad rather. As should the managers.

As the Brazil Nike advert used to say 'Smaller ball smaller spaces', teach the kids to
PLAY THE BALL ON THE GROUND NO LONG BALL PLEASSSSSSSSSE

I don't think it would be a bad idea to make it a rule that every starting eleven in the Prem has to have in it four English players, that way you've got eighty English guys playing each weekend and I don't think it would massively reduce the quality of the product.
What do you guys think good or bad idea?

What do you guys think good or bad idea? don't like quota's at all in sport, it is down to the English players to improve their quality rather than the manager having to do the sums each week!

What do you guys think good or bad idea? It's reduce the quality of the league and make life very cushy for English players. It'd be great news for the England players as they could demand monster pay rises. Al lot would top £200k p/w as the Big 4 hoover them up.

I think it would be a good idea having quotas, but then again if the English players were good enough the league would be full of them. But it can be no coincidence that the top league with the most home grown players, Italy, are the World Champions.
