So, still hasnt re-signed for Steelers, Tessier said he'd never re-sign for Panthers, maybe Neilson can change his mind....afterall, it was Ellis that he didnt get on with.
thats my .02cents anyway.

Did he really officially say he would never come back or was it PR talk to the Steelers fans? In the same way Allison would never play for another team in the UK. Bobyck,Adey,Beaulieu etc etc...
If the offer was right and Corey really wanted him, im sure he could be talked into $igning!

Wasnt their loads of banter about how when Tess came back to the UK for the second time he tried to get in contact with Ellis or something and he said that he didnt want anything to do with him in which then he just signed for sheffield.
I reckon we could get him here, He could see that we've got a decent gritty squad(which is more to his liking) and be persuaded if the cash was right,
Perhaps give him a slot at derby uni doing Accountancy

Haha good idea. Or pay for him to study "how to win friends and influence people"!
I dont beleive any of the rest. There may be something in it but doubt thats exactly what happened

There is a golfing course at Derby Uni, perhaps we are luring him here with that.

Id love to see Tess back, along side Galbraith youd expect them to tear the league apart together... note I said EXPECT.
I remember talking to Tess in Hooters and he explained the reasons for not returning, understood why the fans felt the way they did but equally that he enjoyed his time here and wouldnt say no to a return, but Ellis didnt want him.
Fair enough, could all be guff but why would he spin PR to a bunch of fans who he probably realises he isnt remembered for the best reasons.

Pretty much backs up what I said up there /\
With anyone, if the price was right the move could happen, It business.
But if we did sign Tess aswell as another few forwards and a new import NM we'd blow the wagecap out of the water surely? I cant see Ndur on that much as i know he wanted to stay in the UK etc so cant see him demanding much of a rise to keep him in the country.
Clarkie however...pfssh!

Can you really see Corey signing Te$$ier??
Corey wants players 110% commited to the cause not 110% committed to an extra £5
Forget it, wont happen.
Let Shuff have him, he can bleed those poor sops dry.

I'd have Tess back. A face off winning centre who would probably contribute 80+ points a season. It's a bit of a no brainer to be honest.

Theres a difference between moving on and claiming the new guys is even better Tunny! Has anyone actually got anything to bring to this rumour other than hes a good player? My mailmans brothers dogs sister once knew a guy whos name sounded like Tessier and he lives in Nottingham... Practically a done deal

It was a tongue in cheek comment rich , which seems to have got a response , my thinking is if tess doesnt come back fine im sure there are players some as good some not who are out there, simple .We will jhave to wait and see.

Where ever Tess ends up, good luck to the lad. Even if he goes to you. Although I doubt it, there was more than Ellis involved in the sour taste left in his mouth by your lot...
Tess is a very good player who had a stand out year with you guys, by his own admission that was somewhat of a one-off in so much as everything just clicked, it was not his usual game which was closer to how he has played for us.
He does actually work very hard for his line, his vision is probably the best I have seen in this league and if he gets a sniff he will usually put it away.
Good player, worthy of any team in this league and if the money is right who knows.

and if the money is not enough will tess get his fingers burnt in a better league, tough call really big fish in a small pond, or little sprat in an ocean?

Oh come on nem thats hardly fair he did leave a couple of months into a season and with the managements blessings, how did that leave a sour taste in HIS MOUTH? Maybe the home fans but certainly not his...
