due to EU regs I can see more smaller rinks having to close... especailly if they have to replace the entire ice plant

WHY IS THIS WORLD SO STUPID
why do they have to change there refrigeration plants?
is it going to make any difference to anyone?
my guess is NO!
if people are forced to change things then why should the people running the rinks have to pay for it.
pay for it by goverment funding or the funding of who ever made up the stupid Regulation

At least change to the new regulated pad WHEN a plant needs changing.

They should do the same as Amiens in France , build a Plant that can freeze an ice pad but at the same time heat a swimming pool . Run both Swimming and ice cntre on one electricity or gas bill . There is a lot of wasted energy from heating a swimming pool that could be used to freeze an ice pad .
