Brett, Thanks for the memories wikipedia Atlanta Falcons Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round, 33rd overall in the 1991 NFL Draft. Atlanta coach Jerry Glanville did not approve of the drafting of Favre, saying it would take - WAIT Haven't I posted this before somewhere ;D ;D ;D

The Ravens will use the franchise tag on Suggs if they are unable to come to terms on a new deal

Pretty disappointed that Vrabel has gone to KC, who might also end up with Cassell.

I was watching the story break on Sunday and kept thinking there's got to be more. I couldn't believe it when there wasn't. We traded Schaub for Houston's second-round picks in 2007 and 2008 and moved up from 10th to 8th in the 1st rd in 07. Cassel is way ahead of what Schaub was when traded. I can understand the Pats not wanting the 3rd overall pick from a cap point of view but I don’t understand why they didn’t get a pick next year or at least swop picks in a later round. Maybe Scott Pioli has something over Belichick

It was a bad deal for the Pats. They should have got at least a 4th to go with what they got. If they'd have got a decent 1st rounder they could have ended up with another Mayo.
I should add that I'm still far from convinced that Cassel will be that good.

Crabtree, Raji or one of the OT's. They're about the only players I'd want at #7. A trade down would be nice. Especially now we don't have a great need for Oline. I do not want Maclin!
What will help is if Sanchez is still there when we pick. Teams may be willing to trade up to get him ahead of Jax. I'm going to do a draft with trades as there are sure to be plenty this time.

I agree Sanchez has a shot of going 7 or 8 to either JAX, 49ers, Den or Wash so you guys could be in a good spot. It seems a lot of teams are saying that they are looking to trade down this year, so I might join you in doing a mock with trades, although it was bad enough just doing the 32 ;D. Looks like Bills/Eagles trade have me matching on 3 more of your mock, Oher has a good chance of going 11, Moreno 21 and the Bills would probably take Pettigrew if he's there at 28 so I'll be changing my nfl.com mock again Cheers Edit.. Here's a question for you Mr Oakland GM (for fun) The Redskins call you offering their 13, 80 and a 2nd next year for your 7 and 126 so they can move for Sanchez. The top 3 OT's are off the board but Crabtree, Oher and B.J are still on the board. Some mocks expect the Jags to jump all over Crabtree if he drops to 8 and you think there's a chance Green Bay will take Oher or B.J at 9 or you'll at least expect there may be a bidding war with Denver (B.J) if Green Bay are looking to trade out of 9. You've read that the 49ers and the Bills are expected to look at Oher real close and also may be looking to move up a spot or two to get him. Making it uncertain you'll be able to get one of those three! So under the about scenario playing out........ Do you take Crabtree, B.J, Oher or make the trade? Cheers

NFL.COM
ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Falcons obtained tight end Tony Gonzalez from the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday for a pick in next year's draft.
The Falcons will send a second-round pick in 2010 to Kansas City in exchange for Gonzalez, the only tight end in NFL history selected to 10 Pro Bowls, the Chiefs announced.
Gonzalez caught 96 passes for 1,058 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2008.
The trade addresses one of the Falcons' top needs, freeing the organization to make defense the top priority in this weekend's draft.
The Falcons expect to receive compensatory picks next year for losing several free agents, including cornerback Domonique Foxworth and linebackers Michael Boley and Keith Brooking, making it easier for the team to trade the second-round pick to the Chiefs. ..................................................................................................
Food for thought as they say
Eastcoastsportsnews
Chiefs-Falcons could be dancing again on Saturday...Back in March, I reported that the Chiefs could be dangling OG Brian Waters and DT Glenn Dorsey to add more picks in the draft, and today's trade between the Chiefs and Falcons, makes me believe there is more to come on Saturday. I was somewhat surprised that the Chiefs settled for a 2010 second round pick, since they've been asking for a pick, or picks for this weekends draft, which makes me believe that an agreement between Thomas Dimitroff and Scott Pioli may have already been reached for a trade that will go down on Saturday. The Falcons biggest need, is the Chiefs biggest burden at this time, and his name is Glenn Dorsey. Dorsey isn't a fit for the Chiefs new 3-4 scheme, but would be an ideal addition in the middle of the Falcons defensive line. The Chiefs didn't acquire the 2009 picks they were seeking for Tony Gonzalez, but the Falcons could help their cause in a draft-day trade on Saturday. -Al Fronczak

Terrible draft for Oakland. Pathetic. Only saving grace is that Denver had a poor one.

Draft day(s) was superb entertainment. Really is my fave day of the year (I know, I Know ;D ) Thought that we had another solid draft but only time will tell on that. I hope that they don't move the 1st round to Thursday (prime time) next year, but I guess that is out of my control Well I guess all that's left for the next couple of months is listening to "Brett to the Vikings" rumours and the mini camps of course

Yep, looks like Favre is back. Makes sense.
You’re a long time retired. To retire early just so you don’t upset some GB fans is barmy. Screw them. If he wins a SB with MIN he goes down as arguably the best QB ever.
That’s a legacy!
