We only had 5 picks (1st, 4th, 4th from BAL for Fabs, 6th and 7th). With so little you can't expect much.
Our draft will lives and dies of McFadden. We've cut Rhodes today and Jordan will be cut on 1/6. McFadden, Bush and Fargas is a potent proposition and should help JR a lot. McFadden can give all sorts of mismatches and I can see him being a receiver a lot of the time.
If we get anything from the other picks then that is a bonus. Hall was our 2nd rounder and LT Mario Henderson was our 3rd taken last year. He never played last year but hopefully will be ready to be in the rotation.
We did our business in FA. I'm not convinced we're good enough in the trenches. If we are then we can score a lot of points. Our run stopping will be key in the AFCW but Hall should help. We may have the best Secondary in the NFL so we know teams will be reluctant to pass on us.
As they said on ATH yesterday, OAK are relevant again. McFadden and Bush could be beautiful.

Atlanta gives QB Ryan 6 year deal just before owners opt out.
ESPN.COM
Matt Ryan officially became the face of the Atlanta Falcons when he was selected as the third pick in the NFL draft. On Tuesday, the Falcons rewarded him with plenty of green.
Ryan became the second top draft choice to sign when he accepted a six-year, $72 million contract that included $34.75 million in guarantees. Less than a week before the draft, tackle Jake Long signed a five-year, $57.75 million deal with the Miami Dolphins.
The Falcons' haste in finalizing the deal with Ryan received a boost when word leaked the NFL owners, who met Tuesday in Atlanta, were about to opt out of a labor deal with the players' union in 2011. Before the owners' unanimous vote, the deal could not have gone through 2013.
The Falcons and Ryan's agent, Tom Condon, already had agreed on six years as the basis for their deal, and to make that happen they needed to complete the negotiations by Tuesday.
"We couldn't have gotten a six-year contract if we didn't get this deal done by 4 today," Blank said.

You've given him an 8% rise on what we gave #1 pick JR. And more than what Jake Long got. Ouch.
Chris Long and DMc thank you. Al Davis won't! Bugger.

Ouch indeed. But ouch to all top draft pick contracts, they have become insane I think that we are on par with J Long? His deal was for 5 years, so per year Long got more guaranteed money. Adam S reported that Ryan gets 16mil in his last year and I believe that Long gets 57.5 in 5? so that's 1.5 more if those numbers are correct? Our main goals were to get him on a 6 year deal and get him in camp, They didn't want one day of holdout. With what's been going on the last year, I don't believe that they could get themselves into a JR situation from a PR stand-point and maybe that cost them a dime or two more No doubt his deal will be restructured well before 2014 so the top end number doesn’t worry me too much (well no more than any guy who’s never play a down in the NFL but becomes one of the highest paid players). The real question is can he play at this level? ? If he can’t, it doesn’t make too much difference if he’s on 31 or 34mil guaranteed. We’ll still be somewhat screwed Cheers

Brett, Thanks for the memories ;D wikipedia Atlanta Falcons Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round, 33rd overall in the 1991 NFL Draft. Atlanta coach Jerry Glanville did not approve of the drafting of Favre, saying it would take a plane crash for him to put Favre into the game. Favre's first pass in an NFL regular season game resulted in an interception returned for a touchdown. He only attempted four passes in his career at Atlanta, completing none of them.for fudges sake Bret just sign for someone and end the damn soap opera!

Favre has been officially reinstated by the NFL. It'll be weird seeing a GB game without him come the new season. And he'll be wearing the colours of the NY Jets too.

Chris Simms is being lined up to replace the crocked Tom Brady, but I still can't believe he's done for the year.
I don't think I've ever been as swizzled off as I am now.

Terrible luck fro Brady. He was due an injury. How Favre has survived for so long I don't know.
The Super Bowl losers curse strikes again. The Pats could still scrape in to the PO's but their SB chances are probably shot to bits. Cassel will eat turf. It's gonna be a blitzfest.
What a day for the NFC yesterday. The NFC is on the way back in a big way. It may already be the strongest Conf.

If Cassell or Simms, or who ever else gets the QB position, can keep the Patriots running, I still think they can make the playoffs but no Super Bowl this season.
Favre was immense for the Jets on Sunday.

Favre was great but he could easily have been rubbish. Typical Favre!

Am missing the Blaze game tomorrow as I am off to the NFL game at Wembley. Sadly Saints Reggie Bush is out and Chargers Ladalian Tomlinson may not be fully fit.
Still, I have a cracking seat and am really looking forward to it.

It's a pity the whole game wasn't on BBC2. Great advert for the best league in sport.
Big win for NYG over PIT. They seem to be the team to beat. 10C can pretty much kill off Indy tonight.

Bet ya glad you got Ryan now! He's doing really well. You and Miami have done a great job of getting W's so fast.
Some of us have years of L's to come!

I’m happy with Ryan (so far) He looks like he could have a career in the league. He is the QB I wanted because as the game show hosts say “I must accept your first answer" and my first answer on Ryan was on page 12. ;D ;D ;D ;D We’re doing ok; the running attack is doing a very nice job. We’ve still some way to go, but 8-8 is a real possibility and that would be considered a great season I really hope you guys turn it around. I was at an As game a few years ago and I have to say that they were some of the friendliest fans I ever met.........Maybe it’s because they bought us beer the whole game once they knew we were from across the pond. Didn't tell them I was a Braves fan though ;D Any truth to the stories about some of the players wanting Vick? ? I love most of the Divs races this season. To me it really does have the feel of any given Sunday, apart from the Lions of course. The refs could do a better job though and I'm not just saying that because I'm bitter about the Phillie game, honest Finally here’s to Michael Johnson going number 1 Gotta support your boys ;D Cheers

The #1 pick is likely to be an OT again. One of KC, OAK, CIN or DET are most likely to fill it and they're all in need of Oline help.
Michael Oher, Eugene Monroe, Michael Johnson and then Rey Maualuga.
