What's so funny about it?
It was a serious incident if you ask me.

Well we will see why he headbutted him when he does his statement.
Apparently the Italian said "he wished his family would die" When Zidanes mother is currently dieing. So Zidane flipped. Apparently as it said on ITV news.

What's so funny about it? It was a serious incident if you ask me. Serious for France and Italy, funny for the rest of the world. Guess its how you look at it but in a tournament marred by diving and cheats, one of the best players in the world in his last game nutting someone like that is hilarious IMO

Its doesnt matter what the italian player said to him. Zidane shouldnt go about head butting anyone even if he did call zz's mum a terrorist. Brought an end of a great career from a great player.

Zidane was retiring anyway, so headbutting Materazzi is neither here nor there. It's not the most intelligent way to resolve a matter, and it'd have been far more fitting if Zidane had scored a 93rd winner to leave the Italians blubbing in their pasta, but it didn't cost France the game and Zidane is still regarded as a true French man which probably means more to him than winning the world cup.

No its not the way to end your career, he could also easily stand trial for assault (or whatever the equialent is in Germany).
Like it or not though, I think he did the right thing (if true).
Ive heard that he either said
You are the son of a terrorist whore
or
He wished his family dead.
Both on the day his mother was taken to hospital. Materazzi was hoping that his racism would put ZZ off his game. Instead he got what he deserved.

Materazzi wasn't to know that Zizou's mum i9s in hospital. Fully understand why the great man lost it. If he'd wanted to hurt MM he's have butted his head.
ZZ is a true footballing great. He warrants France's love.
Ironic that a Frenchman is being criticised for being too aggressive in Gernamy!

I will always remember him for his subliminal skill he showed us all on sunday afternoons playing for Juve. I miss Football Italia The funny thing is, Man U were thinking of buying him when he was a virtual unknown in Franch, the cost quoted was a measley £4m! Fergie didn't buy him cos' he didn't know what position to play him in because of Cantona

I think if materazzi and said something about my mum to me, it would have been hard to stop doing something back and hurting him, you can t really blame the great man for doing that. When the tensions high in a WCF things like that happen, i mean they can hardly ban him when hes retiring
