This news seems pretty conclusive, lets see if Julian is right
Therefore i think we ll see a forward and this guy in the line up on friday night ;D
Askey btw looks a decent nettie , played a good standard throughout his career

Just to say THANKS RASTO - You will not be fogotten. Time however waits for no man. Good luck and you would be welcome back at any time. I am sure I speak on behalf of all Panthers Fans.

Whilst I have the strong feelin Julian is spot on with this player, let's not jump the gun and say our goodbyes yet. We signed Hay and look what happened, deals can reverse and I have it on good authority Rasto doesn't seem to think he is being cut?

A mate of mine tells me that Trevor Robbins, said by most to be Panthers' best-ever Nettie, was hardly the most endearing chap off the ice... On game day, he was pretty much unapproachable from when he got up in the morning. Rumour was his wife used to throw him out after breakfast because she couldn't handle him "in the zone". Non-game days, he was as nice a bloke as you could hope to meet.

I feel me might see Rasto as our new back up.

I feel me might see Rasto as our new back up. Doubt we could afford to keep him on as a back up and wouldn`t think he would be happy doing it.

IF Rasto is going, I hope the Panthers organisation gives us a chance to show our appreciation and not let him disappear midweek without saying our thank you's. He will always be remembered for last season and what a hero he was. Just one more post match celebration or something.

If Askey is the only signing this week, there is no reason for Rasto to leave straight away as we will not be over the import quotas. I think it would be a bit risky chucking a new netminder into a semi final, so we could see both of them dressed for the game.

But it works two ways in my opinion where he could back stop us to the final and become a fans favourite pretty much straight away? He looks to have good pedigree (Not chum..) and people dont seemed to have mentioned his stats in Finland which are pretty good and thats hardly a mugs league. Hope its true! Piccy of him...

looks a good signing to me. and as many people have pointed out before, stats aren't everything. people were slating rasto before he came because he was everaging under 90% in the SLK elite league, and that leage is miles about our standard and he completely turned our season around last year!
so im gonna trust julien on this one as hes 100% so far this season as he was bang on with Hay.
just wait for the announcement now.....

Rasto looked happy enough at the skating session tonight, and was quite chatty, and happy to pose for photos

Perhaps Rasto will stay on as netminder coach but not be registered to play anymore.
