Moran needs to drop a league, he must surely be at a point in his career where he should be doing all he can to improve as he'll soon be reaching his peak, hes a poor Brit as far as ability, probably the toughest apart from Conaboy (still playing?) but i just dont think thats enough to merit a position on an Elite roster especially when you consider overall he'd get beaten black and blue by the import tough guys.
Levers id really like here though, has improved by miles since moving to Belfast, got to respect him as he had quite a bad injury whilst here in Notts.

Nick I don't agree that Paul should drop a league for his own sake. I think he passed his peak a year or two back. IMO he should make the most of playing at this level as long as he can and then look for a new career.

don't you think the sleeters have enough brits and my question was why not giants if you haven't noticed still need to fill there Brit spaces and i think Paul would be a descent signing for them as he is a utility player 'Utility player' is just another way of saying he can play anywhere but isn't particularily good at any of them.

I believe Levers has bought a house in Belfast with his missus. Perhaps he has, but houses can be sold. Or kept as an investment.

Get your score cards ready for Levers.
He has almost perfected the art of diving.

Actually we've been slagging off Levers since before the start of this season. Giants fans have been making submarine noises at him for quite some time.
We like to give honest assessments of our players at the time, rather than post-revisionist fans who love someone one minute and despise them the next *TESSIER*...
Huppe however brought the 'knives' on himself with his ridiculous 'I'm not injured really....oh no wait, yes I am, honest!" routine.
Huppe, Hutchins and Levers - you're welcome to all of them!

Yeh ok so you may say dont believe th epleyrs jus read the official news but you cant tell me you ignore completely what a player says? whereas why exactly didnt you go against big ED because (correct me if im wrong) im sure he told Huppe to pretend he was injured ? hmmm stick to oyur criticising and we'll stick to ours

but you cant tell me you ignore completely what a player says? Why not? The sport over here is littered with merceneries who spout off lines of love for their british teams to soften the blow of them leavin originallly or to endear themselves to fans while they are already at the club. As for Tessier did Mike Ellis hismelf say he didnt want him back because of the way he left you? therefor what other option did Tessier have really? Players talk bull most of the time, obviously there are exceptions but they know how to work a crowd when it suits them.

Yeh Mike Ellis wanted comitted to the team players who would stay for the full season , Tessier is just comitted to himself . what I also find a joke especialy at sheffield is the 2 year contracts , how many have stayed for two years if they have a get out clause both ways ? Mike Ellis showed a lot of bottle this season three times . First he refused to sign Tessier even though he knew he would be a stand out player in the league . second , he was not afraid to make changes Simoes for one and maybe a bit late but he did change the goalie eventualy . Third , he cutt Paul moran and svered the link between Management and Team . ( not that I have anything against Paul or Gary ) he chose the correct option , and good luck to Paul in belfast . his master stroke this year is cutting Callie from assistant coach for the good of the team strenth with PC taking 50/50 wages for player assitant coach to callie just standing next to Mike Ellis . Sheffield have done the same with their assitant coach . Also looking at Player off ice qualifications another master stroke was appointing a Fitness off ice coach , something that all teams could do providing they are not making up that post , Nielson has the Qualifications . Signing Levers if it is True is going to be a master stroke as knowing Him , he will have something to prove to all those Belfast Fans who gave him some stick . and he will want to do well for his home town Team , ( yeah I know he is from Derby but close enough )

He definitely does have something to prove, not least if he can stay on his skates for the duration of a match.

Yes, we may have slagged Tessier off but none of that was questioning his playing ability. Most people knew he would be the best player in the league.

Levers can play the game very well. He just didn't last season for whatever reasons.
It's hard to score goals when you're hitting the ice every shift in the vain hope of a powerplay.

Perhaps that was what his coach wanted him to do......
There are a number of teams who have used their Brits to try and draw penalties rather than giving them the opportunity to play their natural game.

We like to give honest assessments of our players at the time ROTFLMAO!!! ;D Nurse, quick... the needle and thread! My sides, my poor sides... ;D That phrase belongs up there with the other greats like "I'd never play for any other team" and "we can absolutely guarantee that this rink will be built on time"!! Well - I suppose that if you are going to come out with some bull, you might as well come out with a GIANT pile of bull!
