i disagree
firstly; he's going to come cheap secondly; he can play anywhere finally; he doesn't mined fighting or looking after other players and for a Brit thats something to think about
saying he carnt be very good is just pointless hes a descent Brit we only dropped him for the money

I think levers could be a possible replacement for Myers. If this is true i can't see him being happy at playing on our third line.

Inder - If he is a decent Brit surely he would have been re-signed by the Steelers no?

don't you think the sleeters have enough brits and my question was PM to belfast? Hmmm interesting, without wanting to sound harsh didnt think he would be a player Ed would want why not giants if you haven't noticed still need to fill there Brit spaces and i think Paul would be a descent signing for them as he is a utility player

Inder - If he is a decent Brit surely he would have been re-signed by the Steelers no? Not necessarily. There's more to building a balanced team than signing everyone you think is decent. Paul is by no means a great player, but he's not bad for a Brit. It all depends what his wage demands are and who else you have on the team.

Can see what you're saying about the giants not filling there brit spaces but i would be a little shocked to see him there, just seems a bit wierd to have scored hardly any points for us over the last few seasons to then go and play for a big team like the giants. Maybe i'm wrong, but time will tell.
You wait - Giants will announce his signing in the morning!

I find it hard to believe the Mopes is Belfast bound, as he lives here and his missus is here, even when he was in Sheffield he was based here. I know lots of players have long distance relationships, but for me he will be in a midlands based team this year

you cant deny paul does a job for any team.
He is a utility player. He may not be the best utility player in the league but that... and his willingness to drop the gloves and bleed for a team.... well that attitude just cant be overlooked.

Moran was linked with Phoenix a couple of seasons ago, but ended up re-signing for us.

Just read this thread and think that what's been said about Paul being based here, well what about Marc, yeah his family are in Derby but haven't he and his girlfriend got a house in Belfast?!
I wouldn't be surprised if either of them went where the money was, Mopes I don't know where he'll go, where is he (realistically) good enough for?! Plus I can't see him swallowing his pride & dropping a league! Marc coming back really wouldn't surprise me either!
