......I've heard the names of a couple of players who should be revealed this week.
I can't say who but if they come off it will show we are very serious about making a challenge for the title next season.
We will also have a lot of fingers pointing at us with regards our wage bil!!!!!

I take it you are thinking Curtis Huppe??? Its been mentioned on KOTG.
Would be quite happy and I think the change of scenery would be good for him as apparently he was going abit stale in Belfast.
And I think I know who the other guy is too!! WOO HOO!!

Didnt Huppe get released by Belfast so that they could play Big Ed?
if we do get him, please please please, can we not say Huppe Power as a parody of Scooby Do puppy power.

From what I recall he was asked to pretend to be injured so that Ed could play. BUT it was something to do with some locker room problems with Huppe and another player but it wasnt Huppe's fault. Think it may have been Dutieme and Ed had to be seen to be doing something so he dropped Huppe who is apparently one of his best mates.

I wonder who the other one is... I wonder Ellis is sending a message out here that we mean business, plus other names bar these 2 if they come off we should be very exciting to watch this season ;D ;D

Huppe? On a personal level, I can't stand the guy & have a bit of a grudge against him. On a playing level... YES PLEASE!

well we won the play offs with matt, cooke and ferrara on thrid line seems to work for me IT can be ok in cup competitions especially considering the shortness of the playoffs thsi season. However i feel it does work against teams with such short benches, because understandably the more the top two lines play the more tired they will get. From what i hear Rob Wilson basically eleminated his third line when he went 2-0 i nthe second leg of the playoff quarter final and rob wilson himself admitted it cost him. It's also the reason i feel Belfast run out of steam after the chritsmas period on seemingly a yearly basis. If you havent got 3 solid lines in this league i dont think you win the league, that goes for any team.

Yeah but think if we get myers and clarke back, richardson ferrera and cooke on a 3rd line is a damn fine line imo, clarke or myers on second line with 2 imports, then a 3 import top line, ide say we have depth enough. We have what PC, Rees, Neilson, rasto and stan as our current imports thats what 5 out of is it 9? so we have either clarke or myers return, or even both, then have 4 more imports, say 2 more top liners 2 to fill out the second line with either clarke or myers hell even if we keep both perhaps put myers on a line with richardson and one of the james' that leaves us with one hell of a 3 line squad!
Another way if we get shmyr back he covers for D and could slot in 3rd line and have 1 import clarke and myers, yes i know alot hinges on them both returning. but either way i think we have some good enough players to fill 3 lines with and compete at all levels

Aren't you serious every pre-season about making a challenge for the title? If you get our wee Huppe, I'll be happy that he ain't coming back to Belfart based on last seasons performance. Hot and cold, more cold than hot. Sometimes very lazy, hard shot but very inaccurate. Good luck to Ellis, trying to get the best out of him may be hard.

Thommo won't be happy if you have gazumped them for the signature of Huppe. Nottingham certainly look like they're going to have plenty of fire power up front this coming season. Regards Doom

I always thought Huppe was a pretty good player with a hell of a shot on him. As for Mark Smith...awesome!

Inder, if your going to bring stats into it, it would be good if we could get the amount of shots he takes.
In no way is Huppe a sniper. He needs quality feeds on a regular basis or he is useless.
No back checking at all.
If you want to take a chance on him go ahead, I just wouldn't base his entire talent on stats alone.

As matt44 says we had cardarelli so we now how frustrating it is, as you have to think if the player put in more to each shift the return would be so much better.
