And... Another Brit bites the dust! Not much choice left now Mr. Ellis! Apart from all of last seasons

To be honest, i'm not going to worry unless our brits start getting signed elsewhere, so as long as Myers, Clarkie etc aren't signed for anywhere else i'll keep the faith But i do agree that if we don't get either one or both of them we could be in trouble.

At the beginning i wasn't so convinced but once we had released Mr Moran the guys benefited in a big way from the extra ice time.

If he was after more money it would have made sense to wait and see how he did, cos based on his performance there his value would have surely gone up a notch or two

Aye, because PC Drouin is a Brit in short supply! I fully expect Ferrara and Cooke to come through in 2 or 3 years, but to base a championship challenge with a team of depth...? Hmmm I'm not sure if it's quite there yet. It depends what imports you manage to pick up and whether they get injured or not. Maybe Neil would benefit with more ice time in the EPL, on more of a 2 way contract, if he isn't already?!

hey barnsley, atleast we have brits that come through our youth developments, may not be the greatest yet, but atleast they have passion for the club and aint just going for the pay pack! Be Careful with the homegrowns though, we hear in Cardiff have a horrible habit of seeing them slip and fly off for pastures new to get out of the 'comfort zone' so to speak last year in the Elite league the Cardiff Devils Junior Alumni consisted of. Jona Phillips -Sheffield Phil Hill-Sheffield Gareth Owen-Coventry Blaze Matt Myers-Nottingham Panthers Joe Miller-Manchester Along with our own sontingent of Nicky Lewis Joe Myers Alex Symmonds Jason Stone Neil Francis. Also with the numerous players at EPL level such as Nicky Chinn Lee Cowmeadow and leading netminders Nathan Craze and Mike Brabon We have also been signing recently over the seasons young up and coming brits to come play for us to bring on their development slightly, names that have guested for us since the elite league in clude Matt Forrd, Richie Hargreaves, Darren Cotton, Adam Walker Gary Clarke. All these players have gone on to better things with their aided development. So it doesnt really matter how many home growns you have in your squad but how many you have put into the system.

I wonder if Ellis will look at Foord again. He played one game for us towards the end of last season and had quite reasonable stats with Bracknell.

Yea, but probably for selfish reasons, I want to see Neil score his first home goal - the place is going to mental when that happens! And I reckon this will be the year he does it (if he plays a good number of games.)
