Only four players have ever worn this number for Panthers.
The Man from Montana, Ken Taggart, got things underway in 1980 before John Bremner came down from Aviemore to make the shirt his own for many seasons. Brem was a rugged defender with a big barrel chest and a voice like a cement mixer. After many years at the back Alex Dampier converted him into a left winger, and Brem then spent several seasons charging up and down the ice, doing with some relish to opposition defenders what opposition forwards had done to him for years in those days of touch icing, clattering them into the boards.
After Brem finished we went nine seasons before Clayton Norris resurrected the number.
1980/81 Ken Taggart 1981/82 John Bremner 1982/83 John Bremner 1983/84 John Bremner 1984/85 John Bremner 1985/86 John Bremner 1986/87 John Bremner 1987/88 John Bremner 1988/89 John Bremner 1989/90 John Bremner 1990/91 John Bremner 1991/92 John Bremner 2001/02 Clayton Norris 2004/05 Matthew Myers

Arh, I remember Clayton skating onto the ice at the start of games and that stupid repetition of his surname.
Good player though!

Bremner was one of my favourites. He used to get some stick from those around us at the back of Block 2, but he improved so much when he got to play alongside Robin Andrew.
The guy was not one to be messed with, and he could deliver a huge check. I remember one of those fantastic games against Fife (with their illustrious Czech imports) in the 88-89 season, when we still had the netting around the boards. Brem checked one of Fife's Czech stars a few feet from the boards and the Flyers player went straight over them and into the netting without actually touching the board itself. Classic.
