There's a sale on at NHL.com!
Last week I ordered an Eastern Conference All-Star game shirt and it's already being shipped over to me!
It's a beauty! And at $113.00, that's right just £55.00 and that includes $43.00 for shipping!
There are some top bargains!

Morley, American Eagle is the best damn shop in the world. I love it.
I bought about £150 worth of stuff but got stung big time on customs, had to pay about £60 to get my goods. The buggers.

Goods from the US are generally taxed at the rate of tax in the State the sale was made - average 21%. (For values over $43)
One way round this is if the package ais marked GIFT. If however it isn't a gift, the tax man tends to get a little bit upset at you trying to defraud him.
Other ways are if the shipper either pre-charges you for any taxes and marks it on the waybill, or if the the shipper pre-pays any taxes themselves.

Here, here! ;D AE is AWESOME, fell in love with the clothes when in Toronto 5-6 years ago and have been visiting the stores when in Canada and the U.S ever since. The on-line shop is excellent also, shipping is reasonable too. I don't buy jeans from the U.K anymore, get them from www.ae.com there is normally some real bargains in the clearence section. ;D Not been stung for Tax as yet, I say.............. as yet!

Which is precisely why I always insist prior to ordering, that they/whoever always mark my stuff as a gift. never had a problem with delivery, or the people selling that way - be it private sellers, Hockey clubs, or companies/shops.

UPS have really clamped down on this as they are liable for duties/taxes payable to the Govt if they're not collected from either the shipper or receiever. They no longer take it as read that the shipper is 'telling the truth' and if they suspect the paperwork to be incorrect they will hold the item until it is proved to be a gift or otherwise. Also, many companies won't knowingly mis-mark something due to the potential repercussions.

That may be the case with UPS & the like. I am just speaking from my own personal experience, & I have never had a problem. Whilst I will not publicly name the established companies, or the ECHL club (Amongst others) - I have ordered from in the past, it was never an issue with them, & so far not had a problem

I do exactly the same Wigwam, and I've only had to pay once (I forgot to ask!). I'm just saying that it's something that HM Revenue & Customs are well aware of, and are actively doing something about.
