We did have plans to go to New York if both the Canucks and the Flyers were there in the same week. Seems fate is against us.

Am off to NY for a week in November and all 3 NY teams are off visiting those pesky Penguins! - could see Devils at Home to Rangers maybe, anyone been to a home Devils game? Is it easy to get to? Ignore that - prob gonna try for Devils at Islanders on 10 November. Good or bad?

I haven't been to New Jersey, or to NYI, but I know people who have. From comments they have made, I gather the 'old' New Jersey arena is a damn sight easier to get to than the home of the Islanders. I believe there IS a shuttle bus that goes from Manhattan all the way to the New Jersey Arena. Might be an idea to ask someone like Dave Page, who did that NHL trip earlier this year.

Thats exactly as it was, You went to the central bus station in NYC and jumped on a bus that took you all the way to east rutherford stadium. I would have it a guess that a similar service will be in place for the new arena. I really liked the old arena, gave you a nose bleed up the top but other than that all good.

Cheers for the tips - we might also do Rangers at home to Pens - but it's the day we fly in so we might well be asleep by 2nd period! We will all have to be Pens fans for the night! (The very thought of being a NYR fan - shudder!)
