Well, we can add the draft lottery to the list of things we've lost this season. Bloody typical. Still, it's hard to choose between three or four youngsters so we'll get one of our top choices for sure. That's it we don't trade the thing first anyway.

Here's how they choose the order:-
The Draft Drawing is a weighted system to give the teams that finished with the fewest points during the regular season the greatest chance of having their combination selected. The Flyers, who finished the regular season with the fewest points (56), were assigned the greatest number of combinations, representing a 25% likelihood that their combination would emerge. The Coyotes were assigned 18.8% of the combinations, followed by the Kings (14.2%), the Capitals (10.7%) and the Blackhawks (8.1%). The remaining teams had the following chances: 6.2%, 4.7%, 3.6%, 2.7%, 2.1%, 1.5%, 1.1%, 0.8% and 0.5%.
Confused?

Its to stop so called tanking (being deliberately bad) to get the advantage of first choice. Clearly no one told Philly so they tanked all season.

Why don't they just get the team owners in a room together and play paper, rock, scissors?
