Samsonov is a class act and he would be one of the first players that i would try to sign if i was a coach.

Blimey, I should think that Habs regret signing him! At least he's getting paid out of it - what has the club got to show for the deal? His whining might make him harder to shift off their books too.

Samsonov is a class act and he would be one of the first players that i would try to sign if i was a coach. If that isn't sarcasm, you're flying in the face of virtually every NHL commentator I've read in the last few months. Thay all seem to agree. SS is unhappy, not producing, plays a one dimensional game and is seemingly not bothered.

He hasn't become a bad player overnight but it's obvious it isn't working our for him in Montreal. Places likes Montreal, Toronto & Detroit can be hard for some players to play in.
Still for the contract he's on at the minute he's nothing more than a bust. I'd like him on the Leafs' roster, but not at $3.5m

LEt's face it, Thornton could turn me into a 30 goal forward, he's that good. How is Cheech doing this year? Not heard an awful lot from him...

How did you come to that conclusion?

How did you come to that conclusion? Let me add Nylander to that equation too. He scored so many goals playing on the same team as Thornton and Nyl, since they and he were moved on he's been a shadow of his former self.

Nylander only played one season with Samsonov & the Bruins, and even that was only after being traded from Washington midseason (2003-04.) Samsonov scored 40 points that year, Nylander got 11 with Boston so I don't understand your comment?! I don't agree either that Samsonov's productivity in Boston was all down to Thornton either. Sure he's a great player, but the Bruins had a good team then with the likes of Khristich, Allison amongst others.

I feel sorry for the guy - I'd regret signing with the Canadiens . . .
