Hi,
After some advice please.
I'm trying to arrange a holiday and would like to go and see an NHL game while we're over there. Could anybody tell me when the season starts/finishes and how easy it is to get tickets?
Thanks

The regular season usually runs from early October until around early to mid April. Availability of tickets depends on which team you want to see. Some teams (such as the Canadian teams, New York Rangers, Buffalo, Minnesota and Detroit) play at 100% capacity for every game and it's difficult to get tickets unless you're willing to pay over the odds, some teams (like Tampa Bay, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh) sell out often but not always while some don't get huge crowds at all (unless they're playing a local rival) and it shouldn't be too difficult to get tickets. Here is a link to each team's average attendance and what percentage capacity they play at which might help you decide which team will be 'easier' to see. If you wanted to try and see one of the clubs that always sells out see my post on this thread about exaggerating to the office of a the team you want to see to try and get tickets at face value.

The sooner you book...the better chance you have. Go onto the team/arena websites of the games you want to see & book through there asap.
