The Leafs have dealt Mikael Tellqvist to Phoenix for Tyson Nash.
An interesting trade...any thoughts McCracken?
Although he was 3rd choice in Toronro I rate Tellqvist, not sure on Tyson Nash but it is muscle for the Leafs.

Tellqvist always struck me as being a fairly competent keeper, interesting trade indeed.

I was always impressed with Tellqvist when he played last season. Given that Pogge looks very promising, they were always going to have to look to trade him. The 4th round pick may be the better part of the trade, but a change of scenery for Nash might boost him. TheToronto Sun certainly likes the deal torontosun.com/Sports/Hockey/2006/11/29/2545545-sun.html

Don't like the deal & Phoenix won it hands down IMO.

Toronto's goalies are Andrew Raycroft & JS Aubin, although it should be the former & Tellqvist.

Might be but i thought that tellqvist was really good as well. He is a good goalie, but there's question marks as to wether he has the mental toughness to be a first choice goalie. As Rumpole mentions above, we have a young goalie in the system (Pogge) who is expected to be a fantastic player, so that's probably why the Leafs have given up on Mikael.

Nash is a 4th liner who annoys the opposition & is happy to fight.
He plays left wing & it'll hopefully bring about the demise of Belak on the Toronto roster.

A tip Shin, if you're trying to sell it for as much as possible, don't put it in the text that he's been recently traded.
Oh, and Scientology handbook?? ?? ?? ?? ??

I knew it was a bad deal for the Leafs, and Mikael's showing that he has got the ability to be a NHL goalie. We're still stuck in a rut with Aubin & Raycroft Yotes on the up with Telly
