nothing if krulis isn't playing the game because he is sick.
the elite league rule on import players only means for players on the team sheet not on how many you have signed, just as long as you can afford them in the wage cap( I THINK ANYWAY), and persuming McKenna is playing here for almost nothing then i am sure we could still afford to pay tvrdons wages

Took the words out of my mouth! Does anyone know whats happening with Big Mac anyway? He was on a temp contract and the last game of that contract was on Saturday against Cardiff, when we were out on Saturday I asked him about it and he just said he was talking to GM.

I'd like for Roman to show us what all the hype was about, but then I'm so chuffed with the way the team has been playing since Steve joined us, that I'd prefer Tvrdon not to return as it's been highlighted the impact #21 has had on the other players. Tough choice at the end of the day

Is it not a question of how many work permit holders are allowed?
Krulis doesn't need a work permit does he?
So McKenna and Tvrdon are mutually exclusive.

I thought Tvrdon was de-registered so that we could sign McKenna.
Surely we would therefore have to deregister Krulis (assuming that they are all work permit players)

I'd have thought Krulis wouldn't require a work permit as he's Slovak...Although is Slovakia part of the EU?!
Confused?

I saw Tvrdon today with Magdosko, looked like they had just finished training and was getting into a smart car, so seems as though Tvrdon is fit to play.

Tvrdon is Slovakian, Krulis is Czech, so neither needs a WP.
My guess would be that you had a WP place free for McKenna (if he needs one) - an advantage of having lots of European players.

Not sure Igor - too late at night, can't get my brain in gear.... If there is a limit of 5 WP players, I guess they would be Cadotte, Cruickshank, Tvrdon, Kalmikov and Craighead. Got a feeling Ricci doesn't need one but Craighead does despite his British passport. I'm no doubt wrong about all that. I don't think we have a spare WP slot so McKenna would have been occupying Tvrdons' slot. Would be very nice if we do have a spare slot and keep them all. After all, McKenna isn't costing us anything - as he likes to remind us, it's costing him to be here, with all those drinks he has to buy for everyone! ;D Mines a pint by the way Steve....

Whatever happens with Roman & Big Steve, we'd better be on the ball with the rule book (which the Elite League board are probably re-writing as we speak! ;D) .........After all, if we win tonight, we dont want the league NOT to take the points off us, do we?! ......Bet if we do foul the rules retribution will be swift and harsh!
