(Not seen this on here so far, apologies if it's already been put on here) Please take a look here: www.blackandwhite.infoI don't know about anyone else, but the thought of indiscriminately slaughtering thousands of badgers (and, without doubt, lots of other poor creatures as well) simply based on a long-standing prejudice that appears to have been scientifically disproved - well, I find the idea revolting. And we don't have much time to register our opposition, it seems.... March 10th being the deadline

The British Population of Badgers is estimated to be in the region of 300,000 to 400,000 badgers (source English Nature)
Michael Hart from the Small and Family Farms Alliance says farmers are desperately trying to prevent the spread of tuberculosis in cattle. It comes as the government waits for the result of the Krebs trials designed to test the effectiveness of a cull to control the TB outbreak.
Mr Hart says the farmers' action will distort the results of the research.
But the Cornwall farmer said they were not prepared to wait and see their herds destroyed.
He said: "Farmers are controlling badgers in a number of ways around the country.
"There are obviously farm chemicals that are poisonous and there are readily available over-the-counter drugs which used in the right way will produce the right effect."
