Why does it sound so far fetched? Richard Branson is planning to start taking members of the public to space as early as 2008 for US$200,000 I'm sure that's within Beckham's budget. Virgin Galactic

The law of averages states that sooner or later he will score a goal from HIS trade mark freekick.
Being an astronaut, he will only get one chance, miss the landing and your history.
Captain Beckham. Houston I fink we have a problem. I can't really fly this fing ya no.
He has more money than sense, thats about £5.00 then ;D

Think Becks will find those balls he shot over the bar? LOL. Give it 40 years and we might all be astronauts anyway. Mind you, people thought that in 1975. Err....? I always remember a pack of Top Trumps from my youth in the early Eighties. It was a spaceships pack. They had the Shuttle and the Ariadne rocket that existed and all the other ships were made up. The cute thing was that they had dates when they were expected to come into service eg. 1995, 2000, 2005. Hmmmmm. Wish I'd kept those cards now.

The law of averages states that sooner or later he will score a goal from HIS trade mark freekick. Yeah, everyone remembers that goal from a free kick in the 98th minute he scored against Greece which got us into some finals or something. But you know how many free kicks he missed from before the one he scored ? Go on, guess. I know because I was texting a commentary to a mate and kept count. Well, the number he missed that no one seems to remember in that game is..... .......13 !

David Beckham....an astronaut!!?? :oCome on...ya havin' a laugh!! There's always one, that has to go over the top Over the top, that's where most of his shots at goal end up. Everytime England get a free-kick within his range the goalkeeper lines the wall up because he knows that a shot is coming from Beckham. He (Beckham) makes it easier for them to defend. Why does'nt he change things and pass to someone occassionaly to make the keeper think, is he going to shoot or pass. Argentina did it to us in the world cup, a guy stands on the end of the wall, the player on the ball shapes up for a shot. Guy on the wall peels off, the ball is played to him and he scores. But you need a few more brain cells to do that. Beckham thinks, if I score from a free kick I will be in all the papers. If I don't, I will change my hair style then I will be in the papers. I can't lose
