Agreed, it is annoying having to open a thread to find out what it's about ... only to find the topic being discussed is of no interest.

Can be annoying - though it doesn't really effect me too much as I have to read all the threads anway.

thats the whole points BJ I think you've got it the wrong way round Tim. The whole point of a Subject heading is to give you an idea of what's in the body of the thread. That way you don't have to waste your time opening threads that you're not interested in. What does the initiator of a thread gain by wasting people's time through the use of misleading or incomplete thread subject titles? It's as bad as trolling in my book.

The only situation whare I think that is appropriate is in order to create suspense. e.g. When a signing is announced: "Panthers new signing is..." But, I see what you mean. For example: "Panthers new signing is..." *clicks link* Not likely to be announced for another week. That kinda thing happens + it is annoying!!

BUT
Panthers new signing is + Not likely to be announced for another week.
will not fit in the thread title, so you might as well but Panthers new signing...
Panthers new signing is Not likely to be annou
and having half words
as people will still read it to find out why and when.

Or you could put: "No signing yet"

The case for the prosecution rests .... ..... which is why the thread is still there - if I'd been an active prosecution I'd have deleted the thread and put Tim on probation! ;D Too late now as I'm off to the Highlands for a bit - but be warned Tim, Nutty will be watching and she keeps things rather more tidy than me! Think Hitman is right - we must all be bored!
