Has anyone else got tickets for this - I ordered mine from ticket master months ago and haven't received them yet.
Thing is, I've forgotten what date it is, and I've been hearing that they're cancelling concerts at the moment because one of the band members is ill.
Ta for any info,
Jo.

The Date is 6th July. I'm going and still havn't recieved my ticket aswell.
I went to see them last Monday in Sheffield, I arrived watched the shupport band and unfortunatly they cancelled as Michael Mills (Guiatarist,Pianist..etc) was too ill. We got a mini-acoustic set out of Stipe and Buck, playing 'Losing My Relgion', 'The One I Love' etc. But since then Mike Mills has got better and thy've been playing shows, so don't think theres mcuh threat to the summer shows.

Mike Mills, has an ear infection, but ALL the summer out door shows are ON. Sam, are you getting a refund, or another gig for the 'cancelled' one, or was the acoustic mini-set classed as the gig?. As regards Ticketmaster, they tend to only send the tickets out a week or two before the actual gig. Fear not matey.

Yeah it was an Ear Infection/Flu...but he was alkright for the wednesday night show in Birmingham. As 'Tehboaster' says its been re-aranged for 15th June, which unfortunatly i can't make so i will be gettign a refund. The mini-acoustic et was just a 'thank you' for fans for turning up i think, which was impressive:). I'm considering buying tickets for the Lancashire Cricket club venue (i like it as an outside venue) and Feeder are playign, but not sure if i can due to transport difficulties:S! As Wigwam said...the Summer shows will be on:), I was looking through poast setlists, they really are so mixed....thought they've never played my all time favourite song in this country . 4 Months away and can't wait

Met Michael Stipe, twice on the Green tour. Once at the Concert Hall (Nottingham), & at the Leicester De Montfort Hall, where he was sunbathing in the grounds..with my copy of N.M.E covering his face (Which he later offered to pay for). Nice chap..but a tad ecentric. Ask him for an autograph & he'll refuse. Often he'll just reply ''No I won't sign an autograph....How about I shake your hand?''. He's got a bloody good grip on him.

I went last nite, it was fantastic. I arrived in time for Idlewild, having seen them 4 times before i didn't pay too much attention. Got right to the front for the Zutons who i thought were exellent, i really like the album so was impressed live. Then came REM, i thought the start couldn't have got much betetr with 'Bad Day', 'Kenneth' and 'The One I Love'. It carried on in a similaiar vien with Michaels charm coming off, and his crazy rubber dancing. Songs such as 'Leaving New York', 'Losing My Religion', 'Driver 8' and 'Man On The Moon' where exellent, but what topped it off for me was 'Nightswimming'. My alltime favourate song played:D! It was ana amazing gig, one of the best i've ever been too Heres the setlist if anyoen is interested, Bad Day Whats The Frequency Kenneth The One I Love Drive Outsiders Me in Honey Wanderlust Animal Leaving New York So Fast So Numb Driver 8 Everybody Hurts Electron Blue Electrolite Final Straw Orange Crush Walk Unafraid Losing My Religion Imatation of Life Great Beyond Star 69 Nightswimming Im Gonna DJ Man On The Moon

We were in the Brian Clough stand, and the atmosphere in there was like a library! I know it's hard for performers to perform to the 'distance' as well as the crowds jumping up and down in front of them, but perhaps a bit of recognition?
I've never been a big fan of 'Everybody Hurts' - too obvious - but it really got to me there. Nightswimming was also excellent, as sam said.

Great gig, I really enjoyed it. it wasn't a patch on when I saw them at Rock City back in 84-85ish (I can't remember I'm getting old). They took the roof off that night.
