I know this is short notice, but I've only just heard about this myself.....
Apparently the Nottingham University team - the Mavericks - have challenged the Nottingham Lions to a game which will take place after the Panthers game tonight - I believe that face-off will be in the main arena straight after the Panthers game. I have no idea if there is an entry charge - i would guess not, but don't quote me on that.... from what I'm told, any and all are welcome to stay and watch.
Sorry for the lack of info, but this game isn't being organised by the Lions, so I hadn't heard about it in advance.
See you there? ;D

The Mavericks are the reigning University National Champions and came second to Cambridge in the BUIHA League 1 last year. There first game this year was a 26-1 thrashing of Cambridge.
The standard is suprisingly good as there are plenty of foreign players who have played Hockey for years.
It should be a good match-up.

Finished 9-4 to the Mavericks and could have been a cricket score without Michael Snook (MoM). Some Lions players were icing for the Uni tonight.
Mavericks are good - played good fast open hockey. Not short of skill or confidence.
Oh, you're wong again eh Tim! ;D

if it waas a really match not a friend type thing with all players iceing for there proper teams eg all lions players icing for lions them i would expect lions to win.

Jason Scott was ejected for roughing and the second period was littered with penalties! There were more hits and checks thrown in this game than in the Panthers - Devils match

No, some of our (uni) players also play for lions a bit! Not like we stole them - they're our players!!
