I went to Warwick castle last friday with the girlfriend, and it was fun. I thought I'd take my digital camera with me & have a play about. Now I took quite a few photos & nothing was wrong with them, save these ones: I have no idea what they are, and if any one does know, please tell me.

Certainly look like reflections from the camera flash to me Shin. No obvious reflective surfaces visible in the pictures - though the chandelier would throw light all over the place - but I've had similar happen to me.

In all seriousness, it's just a bit of dust creating lens flare. It happens with different angles of light hitting the lens creating bright spots. They appear round because of the shape of the aperture (which controls the amount of light hitting the focal plane). More about it here and here sorry for the boring explanation

I never thought it was anything supernatural in all honesty, but here are other photos taken before & after the ones I've posted, in the same locations as these two, that don't have the orbs on them...?

It's just the dust. not necessarily directly on the lens. The most common orbs are caused by dust particles which float in the air. You can see these dust particles with the eye when a strong sun-beam comes in through the window. If one of these dust particles is floating just inches in front of the camera's lens, then the photographic flash makes it very bright. This bright dust particle is grossly out of focus, so it just shows up as a round spot of light in the picture.

i have a number of photos with these strange objects in but one in particular stands out from the rest so being curious i zoomed in on this particular orb and to my suprise there is actually a face in it now i find that spooky and do believe they are orbs.

LOL! Aren't boring explanations so ... er ... boring! As a long time subscriber to Fortean Times I love this sort of thing. I'd love it to be something mysterious but dust particles seem the most obvious explanation. Similar pictures have been logically explained like this in the past. Ah well .... the search for indesputable proof that fairies exist continues ... Send your pics in to www.forteantimes.com though Shin ... you never know, they might use them

i'm not a massive believer in thes eorb things, especially when u see them on most haunted, the best description is just abit of dust. but on these 2 seperate pictures the 2 'shapes' dont have the usualy orb look to them i think and they are much larger and much more kinda see throughy than ive seen on other things. also 2 seperate pictures in totally different places catching the same bit of dust (which does seems to have a kind of pattern, not just a blob of light) my guess would be it does look quite spooky, or alittle bit of playing around in photoshop
