Not too sure Tim but the way I understand it is this:- paypal is a seperate account and is basically a fund-holding account, and I believe you would have to transfer funds in and out of paypal.
Don't quote me on that though, just my understanding of the system.

when we wanted to buy something from Ebay we had to set up an account with Paypal first before we could order anything. We had to fill in information about our bank account similar to setting up a direct debit, only they dont take any money from your account unless you give them permission.there is alot of security questions its seems to be a very secure site. Paypal does not give any information about your details to the company or people that you are ordering from. Whenyouve ordered something that company requests the money from paypal who then takes that amount from your bank account and they then email you to let you know the transaction as taken place.
In other words paypal are like the middle man they are the only ones who know youre bank details . Ihope this is of some help and as not been to confusing, if you want to know anymore just pm me.

It costs a lot less to use cheques than it does to use Pay Pal.
It's obviously not as quick, but what's the rush?

In other words paypal are like the middle man they are the only ones who know youre bank details . Except they aint really a middle man as Pay Pal is owned by E bay I believe. So in effect E bay charge you for putting an item up for sale and then once the transaction goes through via pay pal they take a small commission off that too so they get to charge you twice! Alright if you have shares in Ebay aint it!!

I think that is only if you want to put the money in your bank account, I think if you leave it in you pay pal account they don't charge you anythng

you can keep it in your pay pal account to buy other things off ebay/internet
i can understand transfering £100's to your bank but not £30 and if it is over £50 it is free to transfer anyway.
