I'm going ( on my own!) and I've not been before either. I know a friend who I used to work with is going so hoping to see her about

It is where the old bus station used to be. The players will be there, apparently Danny Meyers is planning on hogging the karaoke machine. Yes you need a ticket. Tickets are £8.00 for NPSC members, £10.00 for Non-NPSC members. Send Kate an email at events@pantherssc.co.uk, she will take care of you.

I would like to have gone to this one... but IMHO it's bad timing and choice of location. I like the Oak Tree... but it's a total bee-atch to get to unless you're driving (and therefore, no drink). Especially when you're getting back from a normal working day. If it was being held somewhere in town, that makes it much easier - bus or tram. But out in Sherwood? Pain in the backside getting there (and worse getting back!).
Thumbs down from me...

Shaggy there are loads of busses to and from Sherwood which run quite late as well - from the city centre you can get the 56,57,58 , 59,87,88 and 89, they go every ten mins or less and the pubs on Mansfield Rd moreorless where you get off at the stop

which is fine if you happen to be in the centre of nottingham or on the bus route up mansfield road, but since most aren't that doesnt help all that much. I'd be interested in going, but i don't want to take 3 buses to get there so there's no chance.

£8 or £10 a ticket? Thats almost laughable.. Infact it is laughable!! Doesn't cost you that to get into Oceana/Gatecrasher on a saturday night in town... What exactly do you get for this £8 or £10?

It says on the official site "Karaoke, a disco, buffet, and lots more!"
I haven't heard much more than that from Kate to stick on the NPSC website. But there are other bits planned for the night usually.
I am not going the be there so I can't be sure what else the club and the NPSC have planned TBH.
mrmonty - It was about the same price for last year too, so if you didn't pay anything for last year's Xmas party, guess you were lucky and someone forgot to charge you for your ticket.

Is it to raise funds for the NPSC? I am all for funds being raised for the NPSC to make travel cheaper for away games etc, & if people can have a bit of fun doing it, then even better! I just wish the NPSC would canvas it's members over what it spends members money on. I personally have never been asked if I wanted a 'sizebale' amount of members money spent on sponsoring the home team bench.
