Really feel for Hull and their fans at the minute as nothing seems to be going right for them.
Could this signal the end of their stint in the EIHL?? Really hope not.

Well to be honest if they cant afford to sack the truly awful Rick Strachan then maybe they should re think their elite league status (althoguh i wouldnt want to lose them!) He is just starving that hockey club of anything remotely entertaining. I would say make him GM and let someone else take over the coaching reigns. They just need a change or else cabana might not be the only one jumping ship.

The only alternative is the EPIHL... well, they already tried that - a lower standard of hockey which the fans let it be known most vocally that they didn't like, only 1 team (Sheffield Scimitars) anywhere near them, much lower travelling crowds... Mike Pack is on record as saying that the costs were at least as much in that league as they are in the EIHL. I'm not saying it's right, but it looks like that the way things are it's Elite hockey or bust for Hull. I just hope that they've got a good spread of games over the next couple of months against the 'big travelling crowd' teams... us, Sheffield, maybe Coventry? I know we're up there on the 30th... hopefully we'll take a big crowd.

Lets be honest their on ice fortunes havent changed one little bit since strachan has been here and even this season when he has gone more north american in his recruitment they are still struggling. I do understand and sympathise with hull for the fact that they dont have the funds to compete with some other teams in the elite league it must be terrible for what are two imho fabulous owners in mike and sue pack. But im thinking a gamble is going to have to be taken soon in regards to strachans coaching he just isnt up to it.
