Bergin had a solid game, deserved his man of the match He even had a chip at cloots early on, the fight in Cardiff has possibly settled him down and given him some confidence.

so if they are that hard up why not wait til they are a bit more solvent , before setting up a franchise in this league and when they are ready, employ a company who at least think about a layout/design of a rink , Basingstoke isn t that cold Dave because we simply wouldn't have survived anymore time not playing. we had sponsors signed up that stuck with us despite the delays - pulling out would have finished off every last penny we had and that would have been it. losing the storm did enough damage to ice hockey in manchester, phoenix mothballing for 2 years did more, any longer would have been the the end. i appreciate the fact that the sight lines are terrible (apparently you do get used to the plasmas after a couple of games but the away fans never get the benefit of that), the food queues were bad on sunday, the place was freezing and the ice isn't that great. but it's ice and it's our ice. i spent 2 seasons wandering the country watching all levels of hockey while we waited for our rink, i met so many wonderful people and made so many great friends. our sport is a wonderful thing. i cherish so many memories of those seasons - belfast and coventry fans singing manchester phoenix because there was a dozen of us showed up at a game, shaggy walking the entire way round the nic just to say hello and and say it was nice to see manchester fans...... i would give every single memory back just to have my team back out on the ice. i'm lucky. i have friends from london that have no light at the end of their tunnel the way we did and i feel for them. tambo has been through all the stuff with ayr and us. he knows how lucky we are. i don't ask for your pity pidge, honesty is the best way to go. we all know our rink is nowhere near perfect. i'd kill for an arena like the nic but what matters to me is that my friends are in the stands and my team are on the ice. i rejoice in that. oh and thanks again to the panther fan that wolf whistled at me on sunday and thought our team boss was my husband - what hockey for me is about, enjoying our sport not just the sightlines
