Just noticed on NASN that the NHL game at the O2 arena is on freeview on Saturday. Programme starts at 5 o'clock on channel 417 on sky.

This is fairly old news, been know for a month or two to a lot of people.
Still wouldn't miss it live at the 02 than on TV though
As for Virgin media, I'm not sure if its freeview on there or not

I would think that if you have scanned your channels and you cannot see the NASN channel then you won't have access to it, Aren't you slightly limited to the amount of channels you get on a free view box?

I think when it says "Freeview" on the NASN channel on Sky, it means that anyone with Sky 417 channel can see it without having to pay the monthly subscription to Satanta Sports. Hence it is Free to watch. Nothing to do with the "Freeview" box.
If you try to watch 417 without a subscription you will get a 'Pop up message' telling you how to subscribe, but when the game is on live, that will not happen and it will show you the game as it is marked as 'Freeview' Hope that makes sense.

NASN will be broadcast in the clear from Friday evening. That means anyone with a sky box (I assume it applies to NTL too) can watch the channel this weekend. Not just the o2 games, you've also got the MLB regular season climax and five College Football games starting with Boise State hosting Southern Mississippi tomorrow evening. And on Sunday the mighty USC Trojans are on! Yoyu've also got Around The Horn and Pardon The Interruption (discussion shows about American sport) though I should warn you that they never seem to discuss ice hockey which speaks volumes.

Hence it is Free to watch. Nothing to do with the "Freeview" box. Yep, you're right. Just checked with an "expert" at work, and Freeview is a brand. You buy a Freeview box and get a selection of free channels. NASN is not one of them. I need to have Setanta Sports or Sky, etc to access it. Thanks for the update. At least I'm at the games, just wanted to see myself on TV so to speak..................
