As from October 2007, Ryanair - will be operating a new route from East Midlands Airport - Belfast City Airport. I have no idea (Without checking) what the flight times are - but this surely has to be bloody good news! Belfast City Airport, is waaaaaaaaaaaay closer to Belfast, than the Belfast International Airport. Full details at www.ryanair.com

Looks a bargain when you see flights advertised at £5.99 each way. Then they add the taxes & charges & the total return is 10 times that, i.e. £55 or something like that. OK if you only have to pay for 1 flight, but 4 flights becomes a tadge expensive.

Cant be much more for Belfast.

For example the 'away game' on December 14th
Depart E.M.A (December 14th) @ 12.35 - arrive Belfast City Airport @ 13.40
Depart Belfast City Airport (December 15th) @ 17.15 - arrive E.M.A @ 18.20
Total cost including taxes £33.79.
(£5.00 bag check-in EXTRA each way - if required = £10.00)
Total if checking bags in = £43.79
Not bad at all me thinks, & really good flight times too!

Even better if you want to go out to the Dec game and go on the Thurs night instead and come back Sat they will only charge you a tenner including the taxes, only problem is you have to book by the end of this week.

Booked the March game through bmi-baby.
If Ryanair do cheaper flights will book with them in the future.
