He axed arguably the most popular player at the club..... everyone moaned, but the guy he brought in scored the winning penalty shot goal in the playoff final. I think he's owed some major credit for this season. Big decisions, big heart, and it paid off even through all the crap hes taken on here.
Hat off to Mr Ellis... well done man. He did sign a team of winners after all... what i way to end the season.

Was chatting to his parents in the bar before the game, They were really nice and gave some nice little insights.
He's taken some stick this season (some of it from me) but fair play to him. His gambles paid off and won us THE trophy.
Cant wait to see what kind of team he builds next season.
Congrats Mike

Another congrats message for the guy.
A lot of people have got on his backs (I remember the Ellis out) posts. Well I hope you guys are man enough to admit when you are wrong, because you were.
All you need is positive thinking, all I had on this guy, and the rest will follow.
When you hear Mike say the things he says, all you hear is honesty. The guy is a top coach and will serve us well next season.

When he came up the stairs to the T&D last night he looked across to see it packed with Panthers fans singing their heads off and his smile couldnt have been any bigger.
Nice one mate. Pleased to see you back next year, and have a quiet word with some of the GB squad in Slovenia!

You have to give Ellie credit for the courage of his convictions. He recognised that we needed some more creative options in the squad for the run-in to the Championship Play-Offs, and basically put his Nottingham career on the line with his decision to gas Simoes to bring in Trevor. When the dust settles, he is totally vindicated and I take my hat off to the man! Whether I could sit through such a tense 10 days ever again is questionable, but there's no gain without pain!! ;D Credit too for Calle - his links with Stancok (please come back next season Robert!) helped uncover and sign the diamond that is Rasto - scouting at it's absolute best!!! 18 years I've waited for this day, and all the pain and disappointment was worth it. My daughters saw the last Championship win - my Grandson saw yesterday!!! Let's hope I'm not a Great-Grandad before we win it again!!!!

I have known Ellie for about 7 years and knew when he came to us that we had signed gold.
He is a fantastic guy who's word is his bond. I knew we were in the best hands possible and would never doubt.
Can't wait for next seasonl, it will be awesome!
Thank you Ellie and the guys!

Can't fault the guy, he's made some big decisions and they've paid off with a trophy. Hope this is the 1st on a long line of trophies he'll win for us.

To be fair, i don't think anyone ever said 'Ellis Out'. It's now been a great season, we are the blooming champions for heavens sake! Bring the core of the side back next year and improve on some of the weaker players. Speaking to a Bracknell fan last night, said he's putting £10 on a Panthers grand-slam next season! High praise indeed.

this was mikes first year as coach, he did a super job and axing steve simoes was a great decision and gallant in a few games got more points than simoes did in about 30 games. one mistake was not getting rid of lindsay for a while but rasto was a superb replacemnet to give the team that forward impetous to win the playoffs YEEEEEES!!!!!!!!

As Mike quite rightly said, when Lindsay's form had dipped there were other netties available. These had been cut by teams because they were showing poor form. What would have been the point in cutting Evan earlier to bring in another out-of-sorts goalie. He waited....Rasto arrived...and the rest is history!!

Bring the core of the side back next year and improve on some of the weaker players. Speaking to a Bracknell fan last night, said he's putting £10 on a Panthers grand-slam next season! High praise indeed. The only reason that guy was at the PO was because of Ellis. He said he has that much respect for ellis and what he did at bracknell he had to come. i dont know about a grand slam as with all respect to the other league this is tougher, but as i believe and have said all along ellis can has the potential to create something amazing here. Whether can furfill this potential or has the time to is a different issue.
