Anyone who bought a programme tonight hold on to it.
There is a picture of Paul Moran in a Steelers shirt on the ice.
I don't know when it was taken, but the photographer should apply for a job with the National Geographic Channel taking pictures of nearly extinct animals. ;D

Your only saying this because he went to sheefield (yea there our rivals BUT if you was in his shoes what would you do?) He is actually a good player when he is given a chance to show it, there would be non of this nonsence if he came back to nottngham. lighten up on the bloke!

He was a good player in 2003-04, but rarely showed it in recent seasons.

Christ, he did his best to prove otherwise.

the guy made a bad decision which i bet after sunday he regrets, but he was with us for a few years,
as far as panthers he is history and missed a chance of being a member of the PLAYOFF TROPHY WINNING TEAM, so there is no need to keep having a go at the guy,
personally i feel a lot of this is because of who is dad is rather than paul's ability on the ice.
Was never the greatest but always gave 100% from what i saw and took on some bigger guys on the ice,
i did not agree with him going to shuff because they were just using him for spin rather than on the ice.
I hope he goes to another Elite team then you guys can get off his back hey!

i can sympathise with what you are saying oldman in that it is probably because his dad is who he is that he is getting this grief, however, to me that is the problem. In that, IF what i heard is true about his wages then he or his dad barted a VERY good wage for an average player who has underachieved at best these last few seasons and imho without his contacts at the club would not have been playing for such a prestigious team as the panthers... so i guess you reap what you sow!!!

Wow one of those trophys even has its own crown! As to the Paul Moran issue...I personally think we should lay off the guy, at the end of the day whos come out this better Nottingham Panthers? or Paul Moran?...hmmm I thought he was a quite a talented player, by no means the best, but good nonetheless. I was actually quite disappointed when he left until I heard the circumstances of his departure, which if they are true has admittedly lowered my opinion of the guy. But as oldman said I bet he's regretting it now. As he had the chance to be a playoff champion with his hometown club...instead he chose to be part of a club that used him to get back at their rivals, didn't appear to get much ice time and didn't even make the playoff semis - I think the guys been punished enough for his mistake. I just hope he realises the mistake he made...

take your point but if mopes was overpaid that is something, for neil black or GM to sort out did paul adey and MB allow this to take place, although it is only heresay,
agreed the initial comment was funny, but some of the other stuff is way off the mark, i hope he leaves shuff and ends up with an elite team, still think he was daft to not take up ME's offer though.

Paul Moran was and is a waste of space. He had a chance to prove himself in Shuff but what did he do? the same as he did in Nottingham absoltly NOTHING maybe he should change his last name to Simms so the nepotism can continue.............

in the cup final he did not get on the ice, a few times he did not play and just sat on the bench , so how can your prove your self if u don't get the chance to prove your self

He got no ice time when he was at steelers , in the CC Paul was a good 3rd Liner a couple of seasons back. He was versatile and would always get stuck in when he needed to. The last 2 seasons he wasn't at that level. He should have taken the option of a loan spell at Bracknell, where more ice time might have helped him. He could have returned to our roster for the Playoffs, and would now have a winner's medal. Sheffield used him as a publicity stunt and I cannot think he'll be there next season. On a personal level I always found him to be polite and likeable, and it's a shame that he's in the position he is.

I'd like to see him leave Sheffield, I'm hoping the rumours regarding a possible move to Newcastle are true. I feel sure that under Rob Wilson Mopes would get back to the form seen previously: The gritty hard working and versatile player unafraid to put his body on the line for his team. I've got a lot of time for the guy and would love to see him do well again, the last year must have been hell for him.
