Genuinely the most excited I've been about a signing for years. When was the last time we kept a player who had a strong season? Mark Matheson maybe? Other than that you’re looking at maybe Luke Pither, Jeff Brown and Evan Mosey, but even then none of those are as good as Otto. For that you’re probably going back as far as K-Wall and Jordan Fox Pither is a good shout. I was thinking maybe when we resigned Perlini the first time.

Boom, what a signing. Delighted he’s back, being honest I never thought he would be. Any team would be delighted to have him, so glad we have. Well done Omar

Brilliant, and well done to all involved! A shining light in this years team, as has been mentioned these types of players tend to move on after good seasons. Hopefully more from this years team plus Cangelosi and Perlini and you’re laughing.

Can’t add much else really, superb work by the club and hugely appreciative of Otto for his decision to stay, especially so early on in the summer.
Just seen he’s on bbc radio Nottingham tonight too.

Wow. I go away for a couple of days and... This is a heck of a signing. When he said earlier in the month that despite everything it was the most fun he'd ever had playing hockey I had a glimmer of hope but still never expected it! As others have said there's not much to add except maybe the slightly overlooked facts (under the circumstances) that he was... A) the league's 6th highest Goal Scorer this year B) the league's 12th highest point scorer And only took 14 PIM all season. By any metric that's a hell of a re-signing for any team to get done before the POFW. Can't help thinking it also increases the likelihood of managing to retain players like Roy etc as well as bringing in new players. New players will look at our finishing position, see the top scorer re-signed immediately and suddenly it's a whole different conversation to be had.

It's hope that players do look at more than the wage, though I've no idea what that is. That he loved the crowd, city and how he could spend his time here. When you look at other smaller clubs/towns and who returns there. Nottingham must be high on the list of places to be happy in.

The top scorer re-signs on a team that doesn't make the playoffs after losing their star player and goes on record about how happy he and his family have been here in what was an unprecedented season for any organisation, how the fans made such a difference and suddenly other players who weren't here are looking at things differently and potentially thinking... "Wow, after everything that happened that must be quite the place to play"

The fact we had Kowalski for so long still amazes me. We had some quality players around that time. Wish we could have had Beckett for more than one season though. One of my fave d men ever
