Some crazy money for some of the shirts.
Suprised by the most expensive.
Just for fun, guess the 3 most expensive shirts?

In no particular order.... Neilson Roy Nieminen.(I would have said Michaud but he didn't ice in the game).
Probably totally wrong though...

Was surprised that Luciani led they way all to the end, only to be beaten by Caruso.
Neilson ended up 3rd, narrowly pipping Neill.
£703 Caruso £670 Luciani £510 Neilson £505 Neill
Incredible.

I can kind of understand Neilson, But Caruso, really? Much improved this season but even so... Don't get Luciani being so high either.
But I guess it's subjective. People see things different & spend their monies as they so desire. Who am I to judge, if it makes people happy.....
Can you still get on the site? Might have a look at what they all went for....

Some people really have more money than sense. Especially as we lost in the game they were worn and they were absolutely hideous

Good grief..... The thing is we pretty much always lose in games where shirts are put up for auction... Who knows what the prices would have been if we'd have won...

I didn’t even get the design either for superhero night. They must’ve thought the muscly design made it look like a superhero outfit but to me it just made them look like gorillas

I’ll stick to my CH sports game worn jerseys, yet each to their own I guess.

“A fool and his money are soon parted” as the saying goes. 😂
Well done to all the winners. No wonder the club do these special theme nights.
Thought £200+ might be about right (not that I’d pay it), but at these levels, wow.

I imagine people with money, desperate to get one in their lifetime or those getting carried away are major buyers.
Because these are out of reach for most I believe the club do other ‘first come’ scenarios?
Just glad I found my shirts in the old days when it wasn’t such a fad. Hopefully everyone is happy with their win bids.

There is a cycle every few years of new fans who have yet to come to the realisation of what the GW collecting world is about and just get taken in by the hype. However if that’s how they want to spend their money then fair play to them, not doing anyone any harm.
My main issue with the current situation with the GWJ is for the most part they aren’t “unique” any more. Back in CH days there would be 2 sales (1 home & 1 anway) and that would be it. There are so many of the same player/jersey from one season these days the value is absolutely diluted and that’s before you even dare look into the actual players jerseys (there’s about 437 tousignant ones out there for example).

Belfast have worn the thick end of 20 different jerseys this season? Average £300 ish profit on each one when you sell it. Makes sense to me. What people spend their own money on is entirely up to them.

Nailed it there you have, some people will buy any old crap these days. Jeez £10k for a set of not very nice looking shirts that have no uniqueness and are no doubt made from cheap flimsy material is madness. More fools the people that buy them. At least the Panthers have never sunk to the depths of making a “Chinese New Year jersey” though like the Giants did this year. Maybe next season. 🙄

And that is their choice and nothing to do with anyone else. Why should you care what they spend their money other than yet another (yawn) critical post about anything and everything to do with the club. Repetitive and tedious.

24 chances tomorrow on “Shirt of his back”.
Think I’d rather chance a few quid on that than spend a fortune on a themed one.
Might have won this season already 🥷

My main issue with the current situation with the GWJ is for the most part they aren’t “unique” any more. I suppose with these, whatever you think of the design, they do at least have a degree of rarity. Plenty of dodgy designs are well sort after in the jersey collecting world too. In terms of the regular jerseys though, since the switch to dye-sub they're ten a penny, you used to notice a game worn in the crowd. I'm a bit surprised they're still a reward for the sponsorship deals tbh. What people spend their own money on is entirely up to them. This is of course the answer, but it's still curious what some people do spend their money on
