Would be wonderful if we could have a repeat of battles from years past. But, hockey has changed particularly to poor officiating standards. All we want from our players is to show pride and passion. If the 'Hockey Gods' are looking down on us, I am going for "The Grapes Count" of :- Panthers 2. Steelers 1.

Steelers look imperious just now. A brave man would bet on a Panthers win. Hope springs eternal, though.

Looks like no Michaud, Ollie or Hazeldine. Rok in goal.

3-0 Steelers. Defence AWOL for goals two & three.
Flood gates on the verge of opening.
Not getting the Carl Neil love in. Has been poor last two home games. Certainly not living up to his CV at present, but then he's not the only one.
This game is getting painful to watch.
Still hoping for a mobile. But for all intents and purpose we were never going to beat the Steelers, given their form, our form & the fact it's a Panthers v Steelers game.
Not forgetting we rarely win a game when there's a shirt auction after either..

I think Neills minutes are catching up with him. I think he's been great but has dropped off the last few.

We're huffing and puffing but too short on numbers and Steelers know it.
Kudos for the effort though

Massive gulf in quality add that to the fact we are 5 players down . Steelers look like scoring on practically every play . We have had some good bits but we just look exhausted. Players are trying which you could argue majority weren't last year. Kellsall in particular really working. We are really missing a power forward and an out an out goal scorer .

It's the annual Christmas Home Thrashing by The Steelers.
They always seem to have an open man in our zone estin front of net. Our Forwards seem to be at either side of the posts.
Need re-enforcements especially ones that can separate opposing player from Puck.

We've got McKenzie on the bench, maybe give him some minutes now. I'd probably pull Rok now.

The problem is this. 1) physicality - we're like schoolboys v adults at a staff v pupils match 2) basics - the defence is really poor 3) Little to no quality Not rok

Much like last night Steelers much the better side. Panthers showed more attacking threat tonight, but Greenfield is different class. Although I think Rok was very good too. Really poor defencive turnovers really hurt us tonight. When your luck is down it's down though. Plenty of tips and bounces that go youe way when you are riding high went agaisnt us tonight. All the effort again, cant fault them for that.

It was 17 players v 18 players according to the game sheet ?

Wasn’t there some horrible stat mentioned a little while ago that the last time Panthers beat Steelers at home was in 2018/19 or something,a streak of about 14 or 15 games ? (I may be wrong)

I agree that they gave effort and I'm sure that playing The Steelers probably had an effect on them but over the 2 games, how many times did they break away and had an open man especially in front of the net. Unfortunately these Xmas games results are a frequent occurrence and this team is feeling the brunt of those frustrations.

(I may be wrong) We beat them 3-0 in the League a couple of Seasons back. It was the one where Massy scored in around 40 seconds, Hughes scored a Short Handed Goal and Balligion scored the 3td late
