The fundraising efforts of lots of teams from various UK leagues are starting to be seen in the Memorial Fund: from hundreds of pounds to thousands of pounds, with one recent donations being over £5000 raised from the fans of one EIHL club last weekend, with more donations to come I'm sure. Makes you proud to be part of this hockey community at such a tough time. The fundraising as you say is quite incredible, £5000 from Cardiff fans and £2000 from Fife and other amounts from various clubs around the whole UK. We are still going to Scotland this weekend on the travel club it will do us all good to be together and to be able to talk and raise a glass to our No.47. Dundee have moved our tickets so we can attend Sunday night against the Clan and it will give us a chance to say Thank you to our wider hockey family for their love and support.

I for one would also like to go on record to say thank you too Manchester and all their players for doing this. They have stepped up for Adam, for his loved ones, for his team mates, for us as Panthers fans and for the Panthers family full stop. Huge respect. It won't be easy for them coming in to this game given the circumstances, but they are recognising it will be even harder for our players and that being there and playing the Panthers might help our team heal. They have, in short, put their arm around our players. Manchester and their players just showed their support and respect. And I wanted to acknowledge that Kudos to them as people as much players for doing this. And to the Storm organisation as well. #AJ47 #ForeverOur47

It comes as no surprise that the fanbase are turning out in force for Adam’s memorial game, but it’s still very heart warming. It will be a very emotional night but I hope it help the fans, players and everyone involved in our club to come to terms with what has happened. The fund raising effort has been phenomenal by the club, it doesn’t replace the hole that Adam has left but hopefully his family and friends can take solace in the good that the money can do for Hibbing

After his team chartered a plane so Neal Pionk and a few others could be there to speak at Adam's celebration of life and spend a full day with his friends and family, he returned and scored a rare goal. In his own words "that's no coincidence"

Absolutely fantastic response following the announcement of the game, really pleased to know that the building will be full to honour Adam and support the guys returning to the ice.
It’s apparent that a lot of lapsed fans are coming to pay their respects and support the team, absolutely fantastic to see. I would love to see those same fans return to more games to support the team for the rest of this season, they will need every ounce of support possible to help them as they continue to grieve and return to some sense of normality.
It may be an odd way to articulate my point but I am looking forward to the event, seeing us all together to do our 47 proud.

Mrs Shin & the boys are going with other friends etc. I’m on earlies so not going as it’d be my luck to get tangled up at work & my ticket go to waste. I would have loved to gone mind you.

And everyone remember to honour the Storm properly for their help in this rehabilitation game. They deserve as much credit as the Panthers organisation.
