Complete rip off. You also have no choice to buy them online with no booking office anymore. So much for the government talking about banning booking fees. Not sure if it happened. If it did then they just changed the name of them and carried on the same.

I emailed the arena a few months ago and asked for an explanation of the fee’s as i paid £30.55 on top of £110 for tickets for an event which as a percentage feels so wrong.
They are said to include money to cover the cost of the IT systems (No comment), staffing costs (Clearly not in the box office), money for arena improvements and best of all, admin costs even though we as customers do a lot of the work when ordering tickets.
From memory, there was reference to increased energy costs - Im sure i once read the arena was essentially off grid and generated its own energy - Can anyone confirm this as that wouldnt line up with that reason given.
It does feel like customers are picking up costs we probably shouldnt although i guess any event at any location would factor a percentage of ticket money into these elements, i’d just prefer it wasnt displayed in a way that feels unfair. My final thought is that Panthers rent the arena and are charged a fee to do this, so why isnt the cost of all of the above part of the rental fee ie why do customers pick that up?

Another reason I refuse to go to a live game now. As we keep saying, ONE sales figure would do then we can make our minds up to go regards affordability. Right now, someone thinks 'Oh, I'd like to go to that match'. To then go through all the booking process and get that shocker at the end. This is not just a one off event, people go quite regularly when time allows and its just far too much.

Not disagreeing with the charges, but I can’t believe that a building of that size can be self sufficient on energy, even if it’s roof was covered in solar panels.

One annoyance and it is not from the NIC are the places that add a fee to print from home, why are you charging me for an email?

It's just a way for a place in deep financial trouble to chisel customers What makes you believe the NIC are in deep financial trouble? They lost millions due to Covid...there was a fair bit in the media at the time but I can't recall the exact figure.

The accounts are available at Companies House and I had a look after seeing the post.
Yes, they made a significant loss, but were given a loan by the council (who own the company) and profitability was restored in the year to 31/3/22.
March 23 accounts not yet filed, but they had 4m in the bank as at Year end.
Doubt there’s cash flow pressure and 23 accounts should see further profitable trading.
I fail to see a problem here. The council will want their money back, but as they own the Ice Centre they are unlikely to do anything drastic.

Debt is only crippling if you can’t service it.

Not just that it's because money has been spent in the wrong areas. Yup UK cities are turning into garbage sites . Sad times I'm afraid

Someone at work suggested a social of an evening at the Panthers. We were looking at the upcoming Wednesday night game against the Flyers. I don’t think it’s going to happen now because my colleagues have been put off by the fact that the cheapest ticket price is £26 when you factor in the fees.
I wonder how many other people considering going this season will be put off by the prices

I'd even get a concession for my age BUT even those fees just turn you off.

Yep, will be very selective with games this season, include parking as i have to travel now its a expensive night out. Wouldn't mind if it was good enough but its not.
