Traditionally Blaze are a different "kettle of cauliflower" in their own building. Assuming my call of a home win in Nottingham comes to fruition, then "The Grapes Count" could easily swing the other way at The SkyDome. I'm going . . . Coventry 3. Panthers 1.

Not tonight. I believe it will be close and in our favour.

The ice looks awful and if you took the Panthers fans out there is hardly anyone there

1-4 Henbrant... this team don't seem to have any issues finding twine this year so far

Very comfortable again for us so far tonight, our speed and compete level is far better than Coventry’s. Good to see we’ve had four different scorers so far and three more players getting their first goals. Great stuff

Another good performance, liking what I’ve seen so far
Hope we can have some consistency when the season starts

Another impressive win, was actually expecting Coventry to win. Therefore the only defeat was to Sheffield away, other than the performance, it isn't the end of the world considering the results and performances since.
Even though it was only pre-season, it looks like we have the nice problem of having 2 capable Goalies.
For pre-season, if you're not willing to get Euro opposition and playing other EIHL teams, then make them Challenge Cup group games.

Watched both games this weekend and my general observations are:
- We have very strong netminding this year, I'm not sure there is a #1 and #2, think Robinson will get a fair share even if Rok is seen as the main starter. - Henbrant is FAST. - Lunsjo is a very intelligent player, that assist on Saturday was class. - Carl Neill really does seem like the Real Deal, all round what I want from a d-man. - Ryczek wasn't noticeable at all which is usually a good sign for a d-man. - Forechecking was incredible and if we keep that up all season, teams will hate us. - Nieminem looks to be a top goalscorer. - Welsh was impressive last night, seems to be that in different games, different players take the spotlight.
Theres lots more I could add, really was impressed.
Only negatives was that the Powerplay could use some work (that 5-on-3 we had was awful!) and the only goal we conceded was immediately after our own goal which is a sign of players not concentrating but it's pre-season, so I'll let them off.
I don't think the Blaze will have as good a season this year though, once they set up in the zone they're good, but their chances seem few and far between.
