What would normally be a "good" Elite League PK%, Bob?

This is 22-23 for each team. Face off stats are generally between 47 and 53% overall, as the teams and players largely even each other out. Anything over 55% or less than 45% would be an outlier, I'd say. www.statmuse.com/nhl/ask/nhl-team-most-faceoff-win-percentageThis year's NHL is 46.6% to 55.5% EIHL wise, in 21-22, Scott Conway won 60.8% of his face offs, Steven Dixon 60.1%. Next up didn't crack 56.5%. Ryan Penny took the most face offs and won 50.4%. 22-23, best was Brittain at Devils, 56.46%. Colton Yellow Horn had a % of 69.29%, but only took 127 all season. In 'General Hockey' on the opening board of 'The Cage Forum ' you will find news of the BBC's Ice Arena/sports programme I spoke of a couple of months back, but in the 'UK Ice Hockey History Book' thread. That 'BBC Sounds' episode of the Ice sports/Arena is part of the 'WE are Notts' programming and had been uploaded by them on 7th January. I made todays update note of it in that 'UK Ice Hockey book' thread because I had mentioned it there previously. But then thought I'd speak of it here as well, so you could find it better before it is taken down. go to.... www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0h0jwhh**************************** ALSO, GB to face Poland in back to back games in April at Leeds and Nottingham. See details (link) in part 16 in this thread. Israel barred from the 2024 division two World Championships?

How bad have Panthers been at face offs this year? For all EIHL players who have taken 50 or more face offs (62 players) ordered by faceoff%, Panthers have 3 of the bottom 4 (all 3 below 40%) and 5 of the bottom 19. By contrast, Steelers have 5 of the top 15, and all their 7 players on the list are above 50%.

Lemay might be scoring but he's poor in the circle, as is Michaud Oh for someone like Tessier, it can change games winning them.

In fairness to Lemay he’s a winger who has had to play centre due to injuries

Only two wins from the last seventeen games now. As at 21/1/24
Look out in Biglad's PART 4 fixtures, we are one away game versus Fife re-arrangement confirmation still missing. There's bound to be a date coming up soon?
Well done Jordan Kelsall, achieved his 250th appearance for Nottingham Panthers tonight

Just a quick one.
Points per 60 minutes played for Panthers this season. AJ 3.09 Roy 2.65 Michaud 2.39 Betteridge 2.29 Nieminen 2.26
Welsh has the same total points as Anderson, but 40% better PP60.
League top scorer Valentini scores 3.67.

Interesting stat facts.
The numbers game is very complicated but with the GRS being completed much better around the arena/rinks this season it has helped us stato's.. Most errors on the game sheets were happening pre-season or early on.
I'd like to explain of (whether I like them or not) CORRECT recordings, thought initially to be errors once seen.
Most errors seem to show around net minder stats. Be it that the TOI total is incorrect or the 'Goalie Changes' not being worth recording as it is not 'fit for purpose'. Sometimes players that have scored/assisted don't even appear in the 'Goals' section as a player even on the ice at that time. Shots taken by players as a team total never used to match up with the GRS total or other such mathematical calculation.
BUT here is one such stat that we assume may be seen as correct? For you to look out for. That David, Bob (bobness) and I generally discuss at times.
Six Skaters on ice
My friend David says...
When we played Coventry on 4th February? The Blaze had a man advantage as their minder went off at this time, so we were shorthanded by one man. Now it is 6-4 (ok your saying, so what).
We got back to full strength and their minder resumed in goal, so 6-5 on ice at this moment. It was still 6-5 when we actually scored. BUT the goal was recorded on the scoresheet as 5-5 and this has been the case elsewhere - Belfast v Cardiff and Dundee v Guildford on 3rd February. Go figure why 5-5 but its how they record it.
Bob says...In my words
Same with delayed penalty goals. On which (I'm sure) that the time the goalie is off the ice for the extra man, his TOI is nor altered ie, when going off isn't counted - thus not deducted.
David agrees....again in my words
On a game 6th Jan. v Guildford, Stojanovic left the ice at 13.50 so we had an extra attacker and scored. The penalty was nullified from that resulting Nottingham goal at 14.00 and the penalised player Klimek was recorded correctly in the penalty column as '0' mins. 5 on 5 was recorded. Yet the ten seconds our goalie was off before the goal, was not recorded. Both net minders on the sheet showing the same as 61.58.....
It can go wrong though. In a game 27th Jan. in Sheffield AND a game in Manchester. Discrepancies are found in the totaling up. So, by what method do EIHL record TOI and what factors bring about the discrepancies?

So, another possible iron man hits the dust in Mike Caruso. Only three men left who have played all games this season.
Disappointing result losing at home against a side we needed to beat. Had hopes of a play-off spot but looking more like wooden spooners. Just saying this to seek Panthers proving us all wrong.
Likely 50 gamers on the all-time list now are Lunsjo, Nieminen and Roy in their first season.

After forgetting Myles McGURTY reaching over the 50th penalty mark recently, Jordon KELSALL ads to his own total which is now topping over 100 himself.
Otto NIEMINEN strikes the 50 mark in points as Luca SHELDON and Mathieu LEMAY also make 50 games for Nottingham this week.
