I'v tried to use new system to get Pre season game tickets. Get so far then brings up tickets with random codes for location. Don't want to proceed to payment until sure they are for my own seat has anyone else used it yet?

Not yet, was going to look at it when I have some time as it sounds like it is way more complicated than in the past.
No doubt, there will be 'expert' opinons coming along shortly denegrating it from those that wont even be using it.

I've used it and it's a bit of a farce. You have to create a Ticketek account as well, add your special code into the form and it gives you a bizarre location. However, if you look at the code it does contain your season ticket account number so it is your seat. Once you pay they send a SMS to your phone which contains a link to download your ticket to your mobile (no idea if that bit works as I haven't received a SMS!). I did get an email which, if you don't have a smart phone as quite a few won't, also contains a link to download and print your ticket. There is no way to add the game to your season ticket as in the good old days. All in all it's a ridiculous system and whoever came up with the idea of calling it and exciting development can cram it

Lol I don't care what they think of me but what I do know is they have been bloody hopeless in that arena for years . I wouldn't pay them in bent washers

If they've changed the system, surprised they've not gone down the Google/Apple Wallet route and do away with the print at home stuff. Seems to be the way for sports these days.

Yup it works effective at most arenas now but the NIC haven't entered the 21st century yotes .. most now have either barcode/QR codes on your smartphone and yeah tickets can be saved on your Google wallet .

Google/Apple wallet should certainly be an option but so should phoning the box office or the previous simple online system. I've seen plenty of phones around the arena that make the 3310 look advanced and the owners of these phones will not have much chance of using the new system. Not everyone is able to embrace modern technology and some certainly don't want to trust the tech giants with all their data, and quite rightly so in my opinion. Perhaps the arena management should consider inclusivity, unless that only applies to Pride days! I've used the new system and still not received an SMS link and when I tried the link in the confirmation email I got a message stating that the tickets were not yet available for download! A link to something that doesn't exist yet .. that's one I've not seen before during my many years in the online world.

Belfast have gone cashless. Not sure on any others.
The NIC have said in recent times that they are 'working towards going cashless'. Though what the timescale is, who knows

Wait til the arena goes cashless like some have already.. Honestly going cashless would be an improvement. Simplifies the payment process and should speed up the flow of overpriced drinks and food to those willing to be gouged (which will occasionally be me!). I think in these situations it wouldn't hurt to have one bar that still takes cash for those who don't/can't use card. However the tipping point has been reached where those paying in cash are the minority now.
