Mr. Larter did manage in 93-94, 5 games, 7+6 with 13 pims Replaced by Ross Lambert from what I can remember. Yep. Lambert left under a cloud after two fantastic seasons.

I recall Blazer suggesting Lambert went to Newcastle and said “Panthers are offering me ABC.” He then went to Panthers and said “Newcastle are offering XYZ” and so on … Either way, I agree on watching him as a Panther being top drawer.

Blaizer was a bit slow off the mark that off season. The league changed the rules and players like Lambert, Adey, Brebant ect who could play for GB were no longer classed as imports and with John Hall spending silly money in Newcastle Lambert cashed in. Also the reason Brebant (I'm a man of my word) left. Ross later said it was the worst decision he made in his career and he should of stayed in Nottingham.

You're comparing Connor Bedard with Jason Lafreniere? Have you been at the metal polish again?

Possibly one final post before this thread gets put to bed for a little while..
The only player I found between 1946 and the revival of the team in 1980 was Larry Kwong, who spent the 1957-58 season in Nottingham having played a single game with the New York Rangers in 1948.
According to Wikipedia, Kwong was a hugely talented player but was denied the chance to play because of his Asian heritage. He played a single shift in the final minutes of a game against the Montreal Canadiens at the Forum and in doing so became the first non-white player to play in the NHL.
It sounds like he can a pretty remarkable life, if anyone has any more information on him I'd love to read up on him a little more.
Cheers all x

You are correct Jonno. Top line was Adey, Brebant and Hunt. Lambert with Blaizer and Weber and then Belanger and Weber.

Pic etc but all I have on Larry will be stats on the PC at home. Bar pics I can add.

He was second in points scored to Zamick in the 57-58 season, before they both left Nottingham for Switzerland.

Yeah seems to really enjoy playing as well, lets hope he can keep injury free for a few years and get some mass on him
