I'm not necessarily going to say he's wrong, but this is an interesting statement to make none the less.
I'm guessing he won't be back in Belfast (or anywhere in the EIHL) next year.

There’s ways of putting your point across and this isn’t it in my opinion. A skilful player but it seems he’s a bit of a fool both on and off the ice

Nothing that 20,000 + spectators don't say every week around the UK

Meh. We all know that. Probably thinks we should all be charged more for tickets so they can hire better ones, if he's given any thought to a solution at all, of course.
This guy seems to be a bit of a whopper tbh. Surprised he wasn't too tired to tweet. Pretty much confirms he's leaving though.

The guys a weapon of the highest order.. he wimped out of playing for GB because he was tied or some nonsense like that.. now he's crying because the refs are poo poo, they've been bad for years but that's all this league has got.. they won't get any better without alot of investment into training etc. Think he's done in this league now...

The fact that he cares more about taking a swing at the EIHL on his way out than he does about just enjoying his summer break tells you everything you need to know about him. Doing this doesn’t benefit the league one bit because the delivery isn’t going to make the league want to change and that’s if they’ve even got the resources and it just damages the league’s reputation all because he wants to be the centre of attention

Refs get stuff wrong at all levels - just look at some of the nonsense calls that have been made or missed in the NHL playoffs. Not worth talking about EIHL refs in the grand scheme of things.
The only fact in any of this discourse is that Scott Conway could start a fight in an empty room with his thumb and we'll all throw our two cents in when he pipes up because we just can't help ourselves.

There's only one thing worse than a sore loser. Wonder what Keefe makes of this?

You get out what you put in. Which in the EIHL's case with refs is nothing, as linesman Scott Rodger touches on:
League needs to stop the annual tinkering with roster/import rules, and focus more on the basics of the game.

What a bloody parasite, happy to take money out of the league but also happy to condemn them when he leaves. Classless comes to mind and thankfully he has gone, and good riddance. Good on the ice but pretty crummy off it, not the man his dad is, we all know the officials ain’t perfect but we have what we have and fortunately we are one parasite less in our league.

I've seen worse officials in the league, one of them lost control of a game in Coventry, in fact some of you Panthers fans may know which ref.
The ref in question instigated a pile on against me because I commented on the Dennis Wideman incident, don't recall what it was I said, but I felt he didn't deserve the ban. He had been body checked and the official was in the way as he approached the bench. He was suffering from the effects of a concussion and didn't see Henderson till the last second. By the the time it went to arbitration he had already served 19 games of a 20 game ban.
Anyway, getting back on topic, I feel there needs to be better support for officials, without them there is no game, my favourite official was Moray Hanson, I remember a game between Braehead (as they were at the time) playing Nottingham, Corey Neilson fired a puck into the crowd, it ended up hitting 2 kids and Hanson ended up giving them a puck.
We need more officials in the mould of Moray.

I am in broad agreement with this post. Egotistic ranting from Conway. I look forward to Conway praising the refs in whatever league he ends up in at the end of next season. Good riddance, frankly. As you say, not half the man his dad is.

To be honest i have seen some very onesided reffing north of the border especially in fife from there very own stipeys but there you go, if you are good enough you can overcome the bias. Talking of which i have seen onesided reffing in sheffield during there dominance too (very much the Man u of hockey at the time) so it can happen anywhere...
