Not surprised. I hope we don't just go into limp home mode and give the player-coach job to one of the current crop.
Disappointed we didn't see the team he promised really, whether that's down to him or not I guess we'll never truly know. An early minus in his Panthers career for Pacha either way.
Wish Gary well for the future.

Bad decision in my opinion.. Recruitment hasn’t been great, but from looking at the team over half or not more was recruited by Pacha, Hunt not coming in was a massive loss and we have been missing that type of player for 6-7 years now!

IF the rumours of dressing room unrest are accurate then I'm not shocked this had happened.
I don't understand how the team can perform so differently from game to game, the results haven't been good enough.
I do feel we need some personel changes aside from a new coach though.

Hope he enjoyed the Football and Cricket because otherwise his time here was less impressive on the results side. I’m not one to understand where the problem lies or if change will bring improvement but the team needs to address issues or it’s on their heads. Is it still the make up or have we individuals that can’t see it’s a team game. Season is a loss unless we unleash a Cup or PO win. The gap in the league is widening.

My guess is that's the biggest factor in all this. If it were a happy group I think he'd have got longer. Player power or a coach that really wasn't a nice guy? We'll never really know. It's a group with plenty of talent. As you say it still needs 1 or 2 changes to make it all come together though.

I heard a rumour last night that he was gone and I can't say I was surprised.
The quote I heard from a pretty reliable source was that "the players all hate him". I think it's obvious he'd lost the dressing room and there was no coming back from that.
Interested to see who would be daft enough to take the job now though after the debacle of the last few seasons on the coaching front!

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Corey, heard a rumour they tried to get him back when Wallace went, I presume he currently lives in Notts with not having a coaching job, knows the club, city, league etc. Whether I’d go that route I’m unsure, but as I said it wouldn’t shock me.

Wouldn't it be nice to get a bench coach with EIHL experience, having also coached abroad and the ability to help attract top Brits.
It'd certainly leave the Aladdin cartel little place to hide should it not work then.

Wouldn’t surprise me either. It would be a typical backwards step in Panthers long and disappointing, underachieving journey. “Never go back” they say.

Might be till the end of the season. Would have thought he wouldn't touch NB with a 10' yard stick but then again he knows how he works.

One owner, two teams, two EIHL coaches fired this season and both are Neil Blacks. Wonder if it’s clicked with him yet that his way of running a hockey club is badly flawed !

Would have CN back in a heartbeat. Tried and tested winner, knows the league, club and more importantly the ownership.
The key difference from his last tenure is the GM and because that's new, it may make it a refreshed role??
We need stability and to stop trying to reinvent the wheel.
Imo!

Doesn't matter one iota who the GM is at this club ultimately they all report into NB & the son who is now in place at Panthers towers. whether you see him or not he still signs the chequebook. All the brilliant work Pacha is doing behind the scenes do you know what he's bothered about....bums on seats and having a full arena. Does he not realise that every other club is suffering from lower crowds.

Pity it didn't work out for him. Thought his enthusiasm could have taken the club in a new direction, but poor recruitment, performance and seeming lack of support has meant he couldn't be given any more time. We need to do better this time than appoint Dave Whistle as temporary coach. Unfortunately it will probably mean that certain under performing players won't be shipped out also.

As long as he doesn't bring his random line generator with him then it's great news.

Hopefully the rumour about Hammond walking is also untrue.. or maybe that's the hair that broke the camels back.
