Sack the coach. And can I get a refund on my season ticket for mis selling?

The grand slam team needed a few changes to tuen it around. The Sam Herr team had a few key changes to see big improvements.
The holes in this team are glaringly obvious. We need size. In reality it needs 3 changes for me. 2 bigger forwards and another big Dman. It also needs an assistant coach. I'm moving quickly back to aiming a lot at Black. The changes need money, an assistant coach needs money. He didn't recruit the team though. That's Pacha and Graham. They signed another team of clones. Better quality of player than last year but still no balance.
I'm not excusing GG but he's probably never worked without an assistant. He'll have his ways he's used to working and a big part of that will be the coaches he's had around him.

We need to use a few of our remaining 4 changes (agree with Baggy, 3 of them probably). Levin's been a decent pick up, so the market isn't entirely bare.
Pach thought GG was the guy, so he has to give him every chance to prove it. Get him an assistant as an early Christmas present.
Blacky's got a Glaswegian car crash to fix though, reckon he'll get his chequebook out?

Quite possibly, but it'll be a very bad look for Pach if he is.
Does anyone know if coaches would be on the old two week notice, or would they have to be paid up for their contract (which I assume is at least a year)?

I have heard from someone who talks to the players that the players don't like GG. Who know why tho, is it because he wants them to play hard (ie for the right reason). Whatever it is, it is not good news if true. I agree we have no size again we are easily snuffed our by a bigger teams.

It could be the old “what do you know you’ve never played the game yourself” scenario. Should that matter, possibly not,but that’s how some players may see it.

On ice non players are on 4 weeks notice with gardening leave. So in theory GG could be gone tomorrow but paid until December.

The team that GG mentioned/promised pre season clearly isn't here. Where is the size and physicality. GG - The only people that 'fear' coming to the rink are the Panthers fans. Sort it out lad.

Probably, as with Cherno he wants some proffesionalism. He doesn't want them in the pub whenever they want. When they have a bad weekend he probably puts in extra sessions. If he is a more hard line coach it makes the lack of an assistant even more damaging. A bridge to the players, somebody other than a player to say to him, come on Gary they put in a shift, maybe not this week. Or say to the players he's on side with "i've got Garys back here, you need to do more". Somebody to play good cop to Garys bad cop.

I don’t disagree but that’s something that a captain and the A’s could do just the same. If I was a coach I’d be talking to my captain every day.

I can’t help but think if we sack GG absolutely nothing changes. Poorly built team is already here and you can bring in anyone you want to coach it I can’t see it working. When Wallace was sacked there was no improvements at all performance wise (the results might have been better or worse I can’t remember of the top of my head). Get rid of 2/3 forwards and bring in some physicality and size. Would like us to sign a solid Defensive defender (in the mould of Tommy hughes). I have a feeling GG didn’t get the players he wanted to sign so decided to change to a style where if the opponents score 5 we will score 6. It hasn’t worked and it won’t work with this team no matter who is coaching them. The weaknesses in our team have been extremely noticeable and problematic since pre season and nothing has changed at all. On top of that they decide to bring in Levin (I like him he is a good player) who fit the exact style of all our other forwards. (On top of that I can see Levin getting injured soon, skates into massive hits almost every weekend).

I said in the off season, when Lagrone was announced as our final d-man, that we looked to be lacking on defence. Compare the CV’s of our d-men to Sheffield’s for example and you can see a gulf in experience and quality.
We need to bring at least 1 experienced, stay at home dman in and at least 1 legitimate power forward to try and correct this team.

Anderson has to be going soon, 1pt in 9 league games is woeful and he’s clearly not helping defensively either.
Lagrone doesn’t fit the EIHL unfortunately. The initial signing made me think of Kyle Hardy and nothing much has changed. Good player in other leagues I’m sure but easily upgraded for Panthers.
I’d still think it would be beneficial for all parties to see Dubeau go. It’s not working out for him, he loses his head too quickly and doesn’t have the ability to give him the benefit of the doubt for his melt-downs. Other teams and their fans have a field day winding him up. Playing in front of him must lose you confidence, knowing any moment he’ll blow up and start smashing his sticks around. Passion is good, but Dubeau does it when we’re a goal down.
