He's gone though isn't he? Retired after the covid year when they lost a bundle at the arena? He did retire yes. Mind, he is nearly 80, I think. (He's actually 81) Gent of a man, in my experience, I have to say. Same, he’s a lovely guy

Oooh all new photo’s of the off ice team on the O/S. And new ones added including Freddie Black as finance, Chris Ellis as media and Dan Green pops up (again) under housing. Mmmm make of that what you will ! Just had a chat with someone at work who apparently counts Dan Green as a good friend (suppose it takes all sort😁) At least 4 of the players are holed up at an air bnb this season which costs about £2500 a month. How come Dan Green is back doing housing again? Hasn't he made a hash of it enough times already....

And if he or she is that in the know, they'll know exactly how many are in that house?

He..... And for anyone Who knows of the Nottingham Vikings he is involved with them.
I'm not 100% well today and really shouldn't be at work, hence my recollection being a little hazy on the exact number of players, but yes I think it was 4

Can't you rent a 3 bedroomed house for less? Even two.

Can't you rent a 3 bedroomed house for less? Even two. For years people on here have complained that the players got some shoddy housing. Now what is almost certainly "a nice house" for 4 of them is being questioned because it's expensive? Maybe I've missed some subtlety.

Having burned so many bridges with landlords and letting agencies in the past maybe it’s all they could get. It certainly seems very odd having to resort to an air bnb if it’s true.

Perhaps they are using an AirBnB while they are sorting out something more permanent? AirBnB does seem odd (if true).

The players in question holed up at the Air bnb are players that haven't brought family with them as I understand it.
I either read (maybe on here) or was told (Can't remember which) that allegedly the club were still scrambling around for some player accommodation late on this past summer.
IF that's true maybe the air bnb being used is out of absolute necessity because they couldn't find suitable accommodation elsewhere, for whatever the reason, be it cost, suitability of premises, locality or past bridges burned
If the players are happy and settled that's the main thing

Is there any reason an AirBnB couldn't last the year? Doesn't really matter if they're using that or a normal lettings agency does it?
So long as it's decent accommodation and we're not mugging the players off, I don't see the problem.

In fact he got worse at it inspite of 'playing' the game for years Most goalies get better with age....

We’ll be moaning at ticket price/ goods cost next and I don’t want it to be from poor budgeting.

Its clear that not all the of the culture has changed, the wage theif is still employed by the club, 🙄 he's not even a decent co-comentater.

Whilst I was no advocate of Dan Green on the ice, I'm not sure judging his 'housing officer' role based on his performances as an Ice Hockey player makes any sense, but there we go. I would imagine they may have reviewed the current accommodation they had available and maybe decided some wasn't suited to the club and it's players? Omar did an interview where he said that the feedback from last years teams were not feeling well looked after by the club. What that amounts to and whether it's fair is anyones guess, I'm sure a lot of people will say "they didn't deserve to be treated well! " or something like that, but the fact is if they can provide something better, even if it's temporary, and the players are happy with it, then I don't see a problem. What's the difference in renting an Air BnB over a standard renting agreement with a letting agency? Panthers aren't going to buy up 20 City Centre apartments, so if it's an Air BnB or a rented apartment, it doesn't matter. As long as they're not putting them up in a Premier Inn, then we really would have a right to be concerned.

It might be that some players are in a nice swanky £2500 a month air BnB whilst others are in smaller less salubrious places and that’s caused friction in the camp ? Just a thought. 🤔

Engagement with local media is going well. Notts TV, Radio Nottingham and BBC East Midlands all in one evening.
I think Panthers have probably had more air and screen time with local media in the last 2 months than the preceding 2 years.

I can remember a couple of players kicking off because John Craighead was in NB’s apartment in Crusader House complete with its own swimming pool and gym.

Must have been his 2nd year because in his first year his digs were up in Sherwood.
