www.panthers.co.uk/home/220725-halloweenWell, some things won't change then. However, it is only a 'warm up' , if it stays at that I'll go with it. Keep the identity in games with our identity of Black/White and Gold please. This won’t ever change because it’s not actually a “culture” issue at panthers. This is common place across most if not all minor hockey and even goes up to the highest level. Novelty nights for jerseys/other promotions have done and always will happen. I know it’s not for everyone but to expect this to ever change if I’m being honest is a bit naive.

I think Pacha has already nailed on his thoughts about "identity" hasn't he? He's firmly in the "black and gold" camp.

There won't be change in everything and likely money needs to come in from somewhere (where its obvious and best) and is common place like you say. Just hoping that we are reigning in the excess and if we keep it to 'warm ups' its at least keeping a lid on it.

None of this green, red or maroon nonsense and the identity will come back.

Don't know if anyone has said it, Gary Moran has gone. Divisive character. Whilst i didn't like Moran's massive ego i think he did a brilliant job of promoting and managing the club. Managed to keep the crowds coming in even when the quality of games was questionable.

From recent posts it appears to me that one of the biggest culture changes needs to happen here. We have seen how the ethos at the club has evolved and what has been done both in public and behind the scenes in engaging with fans, casual sponsors, etc. but there are still some on here that still maintain an anti-club attitude regardless.
Some have 'changed their tune', I have been critical of the manner of Pidge's posts (as well as others) in the past but even he seems to have an air of positivity about him, who knows maybe to the point of going to a game. But others, still a doom and gloom outlook over the signings (not enough toughness, too many of one position and not enough of another, there are better players out there, etc, etc, etc.). Seem to think that there is not enough being done, etc.; probably sneer at the media output such as 'coaches corner' Dan Kerry can be annoying and he isnt the best interviewer but it is hellova an improvement from the closed shop attitude of the past.

It can be a fine line at times, but having criticisms and being doom and gloom merchant are different. For instance I am very happy with recruitment, but I am disappointed we lost Hunt and that the replacement isn't of the same ilk. I think it's something I was looking forward to and will miss. On the other hand we still have a LOT of potential scoring so I'm not thinking it'll be a bad year in the slightest.

You're right there.. I thought when pacha took over things would change , I didn't expect So much change this quickly. Both he and GG have at least tried to recruit a entertaining team and when they signed Hunt he would help increase the crowds again .. it's a shame he had a better offer of a contract but no one should deny him the chance as alot would do the same in his position. Yes I will be attending because I believe things are turning for the better it also helps there being more Saturday night games too...I agree there people's attitudes and preconceptions needs to change on here too

I havn't been really down on anything thats happened so far this off season. However I have tried to assess the new recruits and the team make up in a fair way. We really do appear to be moving towards a place where if your opinion isn't pure positivity then it cant be accepted. It'd be a pretty useless place this forum if everybody just posted positve thoughts all in agreement with each other. It also fits with the modern way that you are allowed to use stats and youtube clips to form an opinion, as long as that opinion is positive. Use them to share your dissapointment and you cant possibly be being fair.

I'm still very confident and I can't see Pacha accepting anything but a competitive team. Pacha knows his job and this is his chance to prove he can do it. If someone is stupid enough to go and play in Russia then I hope the door slams him in the @ss on the way out personally.

After Corey left, we were given false hope and expectations.
I believe that's why some of the balanced posters are reigning things in. However in the abandoned season, things were getting very interesting as we had given Cardiff a good thrashing before the Belfast games.
Last season might have been a blessing in some ways because I don't think we would have got Pacha and not GG.
Feeling positive on this season because I'm convinced that GG knows what he is doing and all this social media content we are getting is giving us a coaches perspective on the players coming in, we've never had that really.

Yes some attitudes have changed for the better and that’s because the right changes are at last being made at Panthers HQ. What you shouldn’t forget though is it was the moans and groans and people getting fed up and walking away who forced the changes to be made. If everybody had remained a happy clapper then you’d still be watching the same old poor quality dross this coming season that you’ve watched for far too many years ! Well done those fans I say for voicing their opinion, not putting up with watching crap and not being prepared to be taken for granted.

Then how about this: we stop living in the past and embrace the current and future. Life is far too short to bemoan what’s come before. It’s changed. Let’s go watch a very well put together side with a new CEO who has no connection to the old regime and enjoy some hockey. The politics are only politics if you let them get that way now. GM has passed on, Doucet is gone. Let’s put that energy into some positive thoughts ladies and gents.

There is tangible evidence that the organisation has changed, as has its relationships with fans. This is a wave to be ridden. Genuinely excited for the new season. It feels different.

I walked away tbh and said I'm done unless we actually try and sign a team that we should with our resources. I have no time for what Black has done to this club. So did others and I come as one of 5 so people like us will impact on attendances. The signings of Hammond and Ferrara are good signs. I'm going to have a look for sure as I love hockey when it's competitive. My gut feeling is we will compete for the first time in years and just fall short as we are a bit light in terms of pedigree in D and needed the crash bang type we had in Hunt so could get bullied sometimes and lack plan B. Hope I'm wrong but at least we are trying to win for the first time in ages.

That was also mentioned on the interview with the Coach ( I recall they mentioned Hammond is the last to arrive and that will be Tuesday). Panthers is appearing to be run as a professional organisation- its a bit perturbing - as Panthers fans can we get to grips with this 🤣🤣

Well I’d say it’s down to Pacha and GG both being organised, ahead of the game and doing their jobs well. Something that has been badly missing in many years previously.

Well it should be basic thing to achieve.. turn up for your first day at work stuff but somehow panthers never achieved it.. Isn't today the first day at work? What stops all players being here for the first day of camp? Perhaps Hammond had a chat and has special permission? Anyway. Great to see Panthers still taking huge strides forward. Part of the reason i've avoided pre season games for years has been knowing we may only have half a team. If I wasn't playing cricket I may have considered going. Although it being Steelers knowing there is another 5 of them at home is still a bit of a turn off.
