I would go for:
Dubeau Back up IMPORT (Spare) Young Brit (Luca Sheldon???)
D-Man pairings:
Summers - IMPORT Brassard - Caruso Gagnon - Moore
Sorenson - Brady - IMPORT (Maybe Trotter??) Puffer - Welsh - Ferrara IMPORT - Johnston - IMPORT (Maybe Hunt??) Kelsall - Myers - Hopkins

I’m holding onto the thought that we’ve got an absolute star to come into the 1st forward line. With the signing of Johnston we seem really spoilt for choice as to who plays centre, we could play Welsh on the LW of Johnston and Ferrara as their playmaker. I’m hoping we might look something like:
Puffer - Brady - IMPORT Welsh - Johnston - Ferrara IMPORT - Sorenson - IMPORT Kelsall - Myers - Hopkins
Caruso - IMPORT Brassard - Summers Gagnon - Moore Hazeldine (2-way)
Dubeau Brit
Spare Import Goalie to rotate

Dubeau Hughes (?) Bloor (?) Sheldon(?)
Caruso - Summers Brassard - import Gagnon - Moore
Puffer - Johnston - Ferrara Import - Welsh - Sorenson Hunt - Brady - Trotter(?) Kelsall - Myers - Hopkins
We look soooo deep this year - really pleasing to see. Any of the top 3 lines could genuinely be our “top line”

We do look to have good depth. Not sure if Myers will be 4th line centre as GG talked about wanting Myers to keep up his point production after the good year he had last year. He won't do that if he is on the 4th line. Maybe he will be on the 3rd line. Who knows how the forwards will shape up but it will be fun seeing how it works out. There's definitely plenty of options.

Myers had 23 even strength points last season and 13 PP points (joint second on the team). Ollie had 11 points on those 23 goals, Tousignant 7, and 8 goals featured all 3 of them on the ice at once. (Of which Myers was 0+5, Ollie 5+1, and Tousi 2+3.) Problem is, the team looks stacked at centre just now, and unless GG has the fourth line playing 10-12 minutes a night, that means someone will miss out?

I thought the same about Myers prior to the Johnston signing but now that GG has outlined his centres I can’t see how Myers is played above 3 point a game centres in the EIHL

Matthew is 38 at the end of the day, and whilst still more than good enough to contribute, I’d have thought that he understands his own limitations. I think to get the best out of Matthew you use him sparingly on the 4th line but use him most on the PK and PP. this way he’ll still have the legs for both PP and PK as opposed to potentially asking him to play 20+ minutes a night and be relied on to contribute on one of the top 3 lines. What impresses me most though is this exact argument. Any player could genuinely play between lines 1-4, we don’t have a “top line” defined and still have 2 more imports to sign, which could, and hopefully will, make this depth we have even deeper. if required, Myers would definitely not be out of place if there were to be a “line 1” - I just think he’ll be better utilised saving his legs for special teams duties instead where he can win vital draws, and put himself on the line without already having been overused

Puffer - Hammond - Sorenson Welsh - Johnston - Ferrara Hunt - Brady - Anderson Kelsall - Myers - Hopkins
That’s how I would line us up. Brady normally would be 2nd line but we have so much depth and Ferrara and Johnston work perfect together
This is presuming Hunt stays, and Hammond signs.
Anderson is 110% signed

It seems as though others are certain of our last two signings, so this is what lines I’m predicting we could see:
Puffer - Welsh - Anderson Ferrara - Johnston - Hammond Hunt - Brady - Sorenson Kelsall - Myers - Hopkins
Caruso - Lagrone Brassard - Summers Gagnon - Moore Hazeldine (Spare)
Dubeau Sheldon/Bloor
Berry (Spare)
That’s some serious depth up front, in my opinion 8 of those forwards are what you’d consider top 6 forwards in our league. With us predicted to be signing two more righties I think this could see Ferrara playing at LW, he scores the majority of his goals from the left circle so him being positioned there more often could be effective.
Overall, I think we’ve got a good balance in terms of the role each player fits. We’ve got creative playmakers, proven goal scorers, some bite and aggression. We’ve also prepared well and created competition in the goal tending department.
I’m excited. I can’t wait to see this team on the ice.

Puffer - Brady - Import (Hammond) Welsh - Johnston - Ferrara Hunt - Sorenson - Import (Anderson) Kelsall - Myers - Hopkins
Caruso - Summers Brassard - Lagrone Gagnon - Moore Hazeldine (Spare)
Dubeau Sheldon/Bloor
Berry (Spare)
I can see the line up as above but someone has already said if Hammond and Anderson sign we have 3 very good offensive lines and they could probably play on any line.

Maybe not the right thread but didn't want to start a new one but just wondered when players are coming in for training camp before the first games?
