Glad I was wrong, but would still bet my feather duster Lacho will be back! We’ll have to see, according to the man himself he’s been offered more money to stay in Guildford even tho Panthers have been talking to him since Wallace left. What’s happening with Stevie Lee,is he finished for good ?

If we take Lee and/or Lacho back for this season it's an absolute sign that the bottom of the barrel has been thoroughly scraped. It wouldn't matter who else we signed as those 2 would put the kiss of death on any team and make it all pointless, nothing but wage thieves. Totally agree

I don’t think we should be signing either of them, Lacho was a passenger when he was last with us and do we want to risk a similar situation to last season with Lee? I don’t think we can afford to. We’re facing two questions though. Are we signing a Brit backup and Brit out skater or are we going with two import goalies meaning we’ll need two Brit out skaters? And who is available that is better than the names mentioned above? The ideal situation for me would be to sign Whistle and Hook, but from the sounds of it Whistle is happy in Belfast. If we can’t sign him I don’t think we should run with Kerlin as our backup, I’d rather we went with two more Brit out skaters. There’s been a few rumours of Hook and Moore coming to us, I’d rather them than Lacho and Lee.

You cannot waste an import slot week in week out on an import goalie riding the pine. Asuming we wont pick up a top end Brit goalie I would go with 2 imports but carry a young Brit or 2 who really wont see much ice time unless the game is won or lost. It's rare a goalie gets injured in a game and the youngster would cost you. They dont need a number of games to avoid what happened with Kerlin last year as there is a 2nd import to start games if needed. The 3rd goalie is purely a bench sitter to largely fill the numbers. They do get to learn plenty though by being around an elite league side, match nights and training. If you have 2 Brit kids to rotate that role then they can get game time on their non Panthers nights. Perhaps both on a 2way with a lower league club who can alternate them as starterw in their games. Wouldn't cost Panthers much, if anything but the kids and the other club benefit from experience gained.

Both brit goalies (Warburton and McLaughlin) are on 2-way deals with Hull Seahawks.

Given the graham says this week's news will be 'exciting' I'm intrigued.
I certainly don't put Bouvin in that category
Wonder if his definition of exciting is different to others...

You trying to claim that one Pidge? Nope just saying he wanted a couple of decent top 6 centres... And here's one of them

You trying to claim that one Pidge? Nope just saying he wanted a couple of decent top 6 centres... And here's one of them We surely do. Would be nice to have a legitimate face off winner again. Cangelosi and Talbot are probably the last times we stood anything near a significantly better than 50/50 chance of coming away with the puck. And it makes a difference when you do (Belfast and Cardiff spring to mind) You can't score with a puck you don't have... So let's hope Sorenson has some face off moves. Sounds like GG rates him
